Nicest Insect,

Then you've come to the right place.

Aug 5th 2006

I didn't start watching until somewhere in the middle of the second season, but I've since downloaded all the episodes and watch at least one episode every few days, usually more.

Aug 5th 2006

I started watching with the Pilot and only missed Basketball, the Fire, and Sexual Harassment when they first aired. I've seen every episode since then.

Aug 5th 2006

I totally watched the first season from the beginning. I heard great things about the UK version but without BBC America, I had to "settle" for the US version. That being said, I missed a few shows this second season because I forgot or was out or something. After Casino Night [LOVED!] and then buying a TiVo, I got way back into it. How could I have missed some of these episodes? I suck and promise to do better during Season 3.

Aug 5th 2006

Hm...I never posted here. I was a bit of a Steve Carell fan, I thought the commercials looked pretty funny, and I heard a lot about the British version, so I watched the Pilot. I loved it, and had a feeling it would only get better. Haven't missed an episode since then.
On a slightly related note, I (along with little kid luvr) wore the ugliest tie/blazer combo I could find to buy and watch the season one DVD on August 16th. I can't believe that was almost a year ago!

I've never seen it, but I'm willing to give it a try. This Jim-Karen romance looks promising. Gotta see where that goes...

May 23rd 2007

Brian, you found Samual L. Chang. ST was right.

Remember how it was proposed that we have member numbers and that was dismissed in favor of egalitarianism? Just reading this thread made me feel a little bad. I don't even know when I first saw the show. I think it was when "Health Care" reran. I joined early October, after looking around for a good forum. I am curious now what episodes ran then.

May 23rd 2007

I got the same vibe, hence the bump.

May 23rd 2007

You bumped it to make us feel bad? Or to demonstrate how fleeting is fame--I don't know most of the veterans who posted there.

May 23rd 2007

Neither, though I like the latter. I just thought it was a good object lesson that this nirvana had humbler, yet lest modest beginnings.

May 23rd 2007

I've been on NA for less than a week(I discovered it after hearing Rainn Wilson mention it during the S1 DVD commentaries.) BUT I've been watching The Office since its premiere. I had heard the kudos given to the UK version and when I heard Steve Carell was leading the US cast, being a Daily Show fan, I had to check it out.

I loved it from the start and thought it was terrific. Falling in love with Pam sealed the deal.

So I know two things about Samual L Chang:

  1. He started an immodest thread.
  2. He ripped off the haiku thread and posted it somewhere else.

Great. Now I feel bad about myself AND Chang. Thanks, Brian.

Jake, sweetie? We don't care if you've seen one episode or seen 'em all so long as you use capital letters and punctuation correctly. (checks previous post by Jake) And now that you've passed the first test, go post your initiation haiku in the haiku thread so you can call yourself a full-fledged member of our band. Then you'll never have to worry about me calling you "sweetie" again.

From the Holly thread, BTF said:

Are we doing that dumb thing where we resurrect old threads because some people around here are bored off their asses?

The answer is no.

Jan 28th 2009

Fuckity fuckerson.

Jan 28th 2009

Band name.

Jan 28th 2009

Brian, you found Samual L. Chang. ST was right.

Ha! Suck on that, Brian! And now that this Brian no longer frequents this discussion board, I think I can safely say that I speak for everyone when I say that Brian was a giant douche. He made me laugh a lot, but I was clearly faking it.

Jan 28th 2009

ST = Meg Ryan

Jan 28th 2009

Brian was a funny guy but not THAT funny.

Jan 28th 2009

He made me laugh a lot, but I was clearly faking it.

He's probably used to women faking it with him...quite often.

Jan 28th 2009

And it was possible that a man slipped in. There would be no way of knowing.

Jan 28th 2009

I do not think that is funny.

Jan 28th 2009

I do not think that is funny.

Brian would have found it funny. He was up for anything.

Jan 28th 2009

I've never seen it, but I'm willing to give it a try. This Jim-Karen romance looks promising. Gotta see where that goes...

Yeah, he was.
