The last new episode of the season is almost upon us. How are you preparing for it?

Myself, I plan on watching the Season 1 DVD, interspersed with a few episodes of the UK version for some variety.

But luckily, I have all of Thursday off, so I have oodles of time on my hands.

How about you guys?

May 9th 2006

Speculation on line, watch Season 1 eps, daydream about Jam getting together, watch "jim" on Tonight Show, distract myself with American Idol and Lost, and repeat all steps, not necesarily in that order until..... Casino Night 9:20! Oh yeah, having a vey energetic toddler helps distract and kill time... big time!! Come 8:00PM Thurs. said child will be snug in her bed, and my butt will be firmly planted on the couch, any distractions (child, dog, phone) will be handled by husband. :)

Luckily I have awesome friends who also are a wee bit obsessed (not as bad as I suspect we all are), so there has been talk of a season finale party at my place to watch it.

May 9th 2006

I'm going back to my hometown in order to watch finale with my like-minded friends. Usually we gush over the phone after the episodes, but I felt this occasion required in person gushing. I'm also rewatching all the episodes in order to fill in the time until Thursday, but I'm already at boys and girls, so I need to slow down!

May 9th 2006

so I need to slow down!

Never! When you finish, start over!

I agree with PurseGirl. In fact, if any of you are worried that time will drag at your house until the finale is on, I am generously offering to lend you my Wild Child (and his less wild - but almost as active - younger sister) for the next couple days so that you, too, may go through your days without having a 5-minute chunk of time to yourself. I can absolutely guarantee that before you know it, Thursday night will be here...and you'll have a sink full of unwashed dishes and an inexplicably sticky kitchen floor, and you yourself will not have showered for 2 days. Time....will....fly. It's my gift to you. No need for thanks...

May 9th 2006

I'm building a lego version of the office's office!

(actually, i'm not, but now that I think about it, how cool would that be?)

May 9th 2006

Doing all my frickin HW before 9:20, and showering, and getting all the chores done.

Knowing me, I'll do none of this. :-)

May 9th 2006

Hey, Loaded Teapot, glad our time is flyin by! Tomorrow is Wednesday already! My task tonight is to try to stay awake to watch "Jim" on The Tonight Show tonight. We'll see...

May 9th 2006

Tonight my husband and I went to the video rental place cause my husband wanted to get some Gilmore Girls DVDs to watch and burn. When we were there I noticed they had the British version of 'The Office'. They only had the season 1 DVD there so I got that and plan on watching it tomorrow since I'm not working. So that's how I'm gonna get psyched up for the finale!

I've got tickets to see The Strokes tomorrow night, which is going to be an excellent distraction. It's sad that I consider seeing one of my favourite bands as merely filler to get me to Thrusday at 9:20. This show is messing with my priorities.

May 9th 2006

At this point I am trying not to think about it. There are so many speculative solutions that my head is spinning and most of them make me upset.

There are too many un-nerving clips in the promo. The slap, Roy's apparent glee, Jan and Jim, yadda, yadda, I can't take it.

All I ask is that we all join up again for a post show chat. If this show ends up on a bit of a downer, I'm gonna need all of the solace I can get.

PWJ, that is the first chink I've seen in your armour. The normally positive PWJ was withered into a lump of doubt in that last post of yours. What gives?

At this point, I'm just sooo glad that The Office is on Thursday and not any days earlier. My brain has been overloaded with information for my finals, Wednesday (tomorrow) morning is my last exam THANK GOD! (As I'm here...blogging) To think that if The Office were any earlier, I wouldn't know what to do, between the need for cramming and watching the finale...I don't know...

So after my exam tomorrow I will wind down with some shows that I was forced to miss, like Prison Break, 24 (double offensive!), Scrubs. Then by Thursday night, my mind will be relaxed and happy to watch the finale!

Well, I quit my job today, for reasons that are long and complicated, although it was completely amenable and we're all still happy. But the real upside is that I was going to have to work Thursday night and now I'm not.

Wow.

May 9th 2006

After John's interview on Leno, I'll be watching the clip they showed over and over and over and over...........
Oh wait, I already have! But I'll be sure to watch it some more before thursday.

Wow, I almost forget about John Krasinski on the Tonight Show. I also have a final tomorrow morning at 7:40, and yet I'm more concerned about what's going to happen with Jim and Pam than I am about the test (which is alarming, since it's for my Particle physics class). So I suppose another study break is in order in about an hour.

May 9th 2006

I'm trying not to think about the long, long summer ahead of me and the five weeks of school left with no Office to get me through the week. By the way, I missed John on Leno, cause I'm lame (and double offensive.) Anyone have a link?

Watching a bootleg copy of Leatherheads.

Mar 4th 2008

With the start date for the rest of the season in April, when would the finale air? Is it going to be the full slate of episodes left this season, or a shortened run?

Mar 4th 2008

6 episodes, 1 hour finale.

Mar 4th 2008

6 episodes, 1 hour finale.

Unctuous NBC Announcer Voice: "Tonight, all will be decided. Will Jim and Pam survive when terrorists attack Michael's wedding to Jan? Will Dwight best his online friends in a game of Magic:The Gathering? And...will Darryl and Kelly finally take that final step towards unending happiness?

Yeah, just so long as they avoid that kind of crap, I'll be happy.

Mar 4th 2008

I can't even imagine what kind of cliffhanger they would have. I hope they don't.

Yeah seriously. There isn't enough time left in the season to develop a plot line like that that wouldn't feel completely tacked on.

Mar 4th 2008

But whatever will we spend May, June, July, August, and part of September talking about if they don't?

Mar 4th 2008

Boobs.

and nards or maybe man-ass.

I think we'll survive.

I plan on finding a good psychologist to talk about why I watch this show so much.
