I mentioned in another thread (at least I think it was me... It was a while ago) that perhaps Michael and Jan have a regular phone appointment on Mondays. Assuming they don't talk to each other every working day, it could still be a school night and "See you Monday" would work.

Of course. If they worked in Scranton together everyday, then "talk to you Monday" would make you assume that Casino Night must have been on a Friday. But, since they don't see or talk to each other everyday anyway, "talk to you Monday" could refer to a regular meeting time they set up to touch base as Mixed Berries said.

Toby listed the fact that Casino Night is on a school night as one of the many reasons that it would not be appropriate to ask the Boy Scouts to attend.

From Jenna's latest blog-

After THE KISS, was there dialogue between Pam and Jim that was muted/cut? It looks like (upon the 574th viewing) you said something and John either responded or tried to form a word, but couldn't. You don't have to tell us the content, but please verify if there was or wasn't dialogue. - Jennifer from Easton, PA
There was no dialogue.

Well, there we go, straight from the horse's mouth... No dialogue. This puts an end to a whole lot of specualtion. I'm kinda disappointed to find out for sure, even though it confirms my (and other people's) opinions on the matter.

Although she doesn't say that Pam didn't indicate the camera was watchng... I guess that's still open to interpretation!

Jun 28th 2006

WOW! Am I disappointed. You don't know how sure I was that I heard what I heard and I wanted to share it with you guys. That's actually what started me posting; because I had something of value to say.

I guess I'm not very good at this detective work. And to think I was about to schedule a job interview with Agent Michael Scarn. I guess I better keep my day job. :(

That's OK. Maybe we should open our own detective agency. We'd be miserable failures together. I never figure out the real story on Law & Order until the real criminal confesses at the end. This is especially amazing because I watch L&O quite a bit and you'd think I would have figured out by now how to sniff out the real criminal. Oh, well.

It was fun speculation, anyway, to think about what might have been said after the kiss. Kept us on our toes for a few weeks!

Thanks LT it helps to have a sense of humor about these things.

Jun 28th 2006

Nothing wrong with endless speculation that ends up leading to nothing. Just look at all the people who devote themselves to JFK, UFO, Elvis conspiracies. Those people are just sad...

BTW, I think JFK and Elvis were abducted by aliens and are being kept alive until they can return to the Earth ;-p

We now know for sure that Pam didn't say "let's get outta here" but I do think that's what they did. Found somewhere they knew the cameras wouldn't be so they could talk about what just happened and what they were going to do about it.

Keep in mind that if this was a massive conspiracy to cover-up unimportant dialogue, Ms. Fischer would definitely be in on it.

I've got my eye on you, Jenna...

I feel weird bumping this thread because, of course, we all actually know what they said now...but I want to go back to a spinoff discussion that started about pages 2-3 of this thread. I was watching some of the S2 DVD, and I thought I heard something whispered at the tail end of the "Booze Cruise" deck scene. I backed it up, and sure enough, Jim actually mutters "son of a--" right before the scene ends. When Cat Party brought it up way-back-when I sort of laughed it off...now I'm just laughing. Check it out if you haven't.

Sep 25th 2006

Nathan, I actually heard that while watching the DVD and thought of this thread. It was really funny.

Maybe Jenna will answer that question on her MySpace blog. They didn't address it on the DVD.

Not really. We don't actually know what they said because the new scene was redone. Everything about the kiss and after is different. I'm going with the cover-up theory. I still see and hear the exact same thing everytime I replay Casino Night. How can they tell us there was no dialogue? I'm not buying it anymore.

It's my theory that they just changed it up because it wasn't working with the way they wanted it to go this season. No wonder most people think the words that Jim says after the kiss don't match the look he had after the kiss on Casino Night. It's just a little something they can do in TV land I suppose.

For what it's worth, this could actually be on the "I Don't Believe You...Continue" thread.

Interesting. Veddy interesting.

Aug 20th 2008

I'm still right.

Aug 20th 2008

Freaky. I'm glad Brian re-livened this thread. There's fascinating stuff here.

I agree. Despite the fact that I have always been convinced nothing was said, all of the discussion was really interesting to read. It's also funny to see a whole bunch of people who don't post anymore, kind of like "NA-the early years."

Aug 21st 2008

Does that mean I'm part of NA: The College Years. Many shows don't do the college years well. Though I did enjoy Boy Meets World. Feenie!!1

Aug 21st 2008

I think NA's still in high school. The College Years is when James opens his new site.

So when do I have my pregnancy scare?

Aug 21st 2008

That depends... have you been posting a lot with mtt lately?

Aug 21st 2008

Yeah I've been posting unprotected with mtt. Is that a problem?

Aug 21st 2008

Well, it means we may have to have a very special episode of Northern Attack soon.

I'll be waiting with bated breath. ST, thank you for my daily lol.

Aug 21st 2008

No need to thank me. I'm just doing my part to keep NA entertained.
