Today's the day, Pam and Roy will walk down the aisle and make RAM a legal reality...

Or will they? (something tells me a certain sales rep may have thrown a wrench into the festivities).

Jun 10th 2006

Hehehe...I woke up thinking "today is the big day"

How pathetic is that? :) I'm thinking of a fictional wedding date on a TV show due to the real date.

Hmmm....

Speak now or forever hold your peace

PAM, DON'T DO IT!

Jun 10th 2006

oddly enough, if we want this show to be "real", Pam would marry Roy.

not that I'm advocating RAM. but I'm just saying.

Actually, I disagree for one big reason. Pam's Mom knows that Pam either thinks she might be in love with Jim, or has doubts about marrying Roy, depending on the question Pam was answering when she said, "Yes, I think I am". Either way, Mrs. Beesley surely wouldn't approve of Pam marrying Roy now, and I can't see Pam going through with it if her Mom disapproves. And really, it's not fair to Roy for Pam to marry him when she is having doubts about her feelings. I'm sure her Mom will convince her of that.

Speaking of Pam's Mom, since Pam told her Mom right away about Jim's declaration of love, does she tell her Mom that Jim kissed her and that she kissed him back?

Jun 10th 2006

I don't think the marriage happened. Just for the sake of the show's plot/nature...and Mrs. Pam Anderson!?!

But reasonably, comparing this to real life, it's pretty 50-50. Pam has been disillusioning herself about her happyness, her relationship with Roy, and her "life choices". A person who's been living like that for so long, can they see the light?

Enter Jim Halpert. He's a lot like Pam; makes fun of Dwight full-time, part-time salesman, and a lot of wasted talent. But his light was Pam...and it brought him his dare-to-be-great situation, the confession and the kiss. This tips the odds...and Pam will see the light, and that's why Pam can't marry Roy.

The other question should be, is Jim in Australia?, and if so, is he alone?

If by this you mean "Is Pam with him?", the I'd have to say she definitely isn't with him. I posted on anther thread here about why she can't take the trip with him. Long story short, I believe she will need to be alone to sort things out for herself (if, of course the wedding has been called off).

Hi, Everyone!

This is my first post, although I've been reading this site for months now.

I also realized it was Pam and Roy's Wedding Day today, and wanted to reach out to people who love this show as much as I do for moral support. I promise, my registering had nothing to do with the iPod. I don't deserve it, as I only got into The Office last summer.

Excellent points about Jim down under and if he's with Pam or not. Also loved the Say Anything reference.

Considering the upcoming webisodes only have Dwight and the accounting department in them I think they might pick up where they left off in "Casino Night." Maybe the morning after. We'll get some great camera confessions. This whole documentary style is turning us into total voyeurs--they can't just gloss over the good stuff. Sorry, most of this should be in the "Who Saw That Coming? I Know I Did" thread.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I look forward to your hilarious and thought-provoking posts.

So, this past Saturday, I was a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding (on June 10th)... and I have to admit, while standing at the front of the church, watching them get married, I thought to myself "It's Pam's wedding day - I wonder if she's getting married." Then I had to remind myself that Pam is a fictional character, the Office is a fictional show, and that I was standing up in my brother's wedding, not Pam's, and that my brother is a real person who deserved my attention at the moment. I think something's wrong with me. :-) But I love you, Office.

69CupofNoodles, welcome to the Watercooler! This forum is filled with hilarious and very perceptive people. Almost as if Northern Attack attracts this demographic...hmm. Anyway, thanks for your compliments and enjoy yourself here.

Stella, nothing wrong with you. Err, well, I don't think so anyway. I mix up Office and real life all the time. You should try tricking yourself, not reminding yourself it's fictional. That would be pretty cool, living in your own world plus Office-world. I've already convinced some people that I work at Dunder Mifflin, and that someone defecated in the boss's office.

Hehehe...I woke up thinking "today is the big day"

I also woke up thinking that, but that's because I got married June 10th! My wife chose it and of course I decided it was the greatest idea ever. I always tell her that she's my Pam...only I'm her Roy.

Jul 28th 2008

Anyone want to chat in this very old but not closed thread who is not a Mod?

Jul 28th 2008

not closed

So tempting...

Jul 28th 2008

This aggression will not stand, man.

Jul 28th 2008

Just based on the premise I'm tempted to hide it. But I will let it stand, because I'm a benevolent evil deity.

OK, moratorium on the wedding chatter, youaresodrunk. Quite frankly, a bunch of us have had quite enough of your aimless tangents down memory lane. (Not to be confused with Daoust's aimless, but quite enjoyable tangents down mammary lane.)

Jul 28th 2008

(Psst! youaresodrunk! Don't worry about Brian. He likes to flaunt his power every so often. Just nod and say 'okay' but feel free to laugh at him when he leaves the thread. Nice name by the way.)

Jul 28th 2008

I wasn't going to say anything, youaresodrunk, but Single Tear was the one who complained about you. She redacted it, but it was already in the file.

Jul 28th 2008

That's fine. I'm sure youaresodrunk will have forgiven me and completely forgot about it within, oh, about a week.

Jul 28th 2008

And then youaresodrunk will go ahead with youaresodrunk's wedding, but not before you transfer to OfficeTally and start dating a fellow chatter with poor fashion sense and spotty self-esteem.

Jul 28th 2008

youaresodrunk will leave me no choice. And I actually know that fellow chatter in real life. So it's easy to pretend to do him.

Jan 28th 2009

Aaaa ha ha ha. Tear'd.

Jan 28th 2009

This thread should be erased because it presupposes a RAM wedding, which is sick and wrong.

Yes, do mods have the ability to set fire to threads?

Jan 28th 2009

I don't know, I think it's kind of nice. I mean, who wouldn't love a June wedding?

It actually isn't a bad thread for discussing what the hell happened between May 17 and June 10. I'm more interested in that than any future wedding plans.

Jan 28th 2009

In Iowa June can be a little hot...or very hot.

Now, a nice fall wedding...

Jan 28th 2009

You trying to tell us something, mtt?

Jan 28th 2009

Uhm...nope. No concrete plans. Yet.

Jan 28th 2009

Yeah, what's up because I better receive a save the date. Even if it isn't my taste.

I do wonder what happened. The explanation was too short. I would like to have seen Pam's epiphany.

I need to know about this when it happens, because I will make the trip. But not in a stalkery way.

I would like to have seen Pam's epiphany.

Oh, me too. I would have loved to hear what her parents said as well.

Jan 28th 2009

I wrote...

It was really weird reading that out of context. I couldn't figure out who I was pretending to do that I knew in real life.

I bet you'd like to see how Jim managed to slip out of Scranton on a moments notice too.
