In real life, how awkward would it be to be told by someone that they had a crush on you. Someone who you were really good friends with, and you are engaged. Wouldn't it be at least a little weird?
I would think it would be a little weird. But it's not like Pam didn't already know. She knew, and she felt the same way about Jim. In some way, I'm sure it would be flattering. People are just people, and sometimes can't help feeling the way we do. There's something respectable about being upfront about it, but then there's the 'what now?' thing, and that's where it could get into trouble. Jim planted a seed of doubt in Pam's mind, a seed that found soil and grew into what eventually became Jim and Pam getting together. Of course, this was a TV show, and we wanted Jim and Pam to get together. But this kind of thing happens in real life, and in real life, things are never quite so perfect.
Is it any different if the girl is the one that has a crush on the engaged guy?
It's probably perceived as less skeevy.
This was on last night and I was wondering if Pam would find it a little awkward to have something said out loud that she probably knew. She must have done a lot of thinking at night, or a lot of denying what she was thinking.
Yep.
Oh Season 2. You have me pining for you again.
I've been watching the first few episodes from season 2 lately, with "Halloween" and "The Fight" last night. I can't get tired of these episodes. I just can't.
Oh, Hamnard. When will you two kids get together and cease this long national nightmare of will they/won't they?
If I had to I could clean out my desk in five seconds and nobody would ever know I had ever been here. And I'd forget too.
one of the greatest EPS ever.
The last couple of nights I watched The Fight and The Secret on re-runs. So good. Every joke was hitting, every actor was firing on all cylinders. Not a wasted word or gesture.
Yep, I stumbled across TBS playing The Injury and The Secret last night and thought the same thing.

Me too. Pam was so cute then.
And while looking for that, I found this gem from Jinx:
I think "lay" is what you do to your girlfriend, and "lie" is what you do to your wife.
I love that.
I remember it and laughed again when I saw it. It's just part of life. You say things and forget them, but on the internet, they sort of hang around, you know?
