His outburst was completely out of character, but it was a lazy way for the writers to get Pam out of that detour relationship
It was lazy of them to put her back in that relationship too... So Iguess it evens out.
Does anybody think Roy ever cheated on Pam? His line in Cocktails and I didn't do anything, cause I had the chance, did anybody say anything to me seems to imply that he may not have cheated when the wedding broke up but before during their long relationship. I don't think Roy's outburst was out of character remember in The Alliance when he shoved Jim for touching Pam. It wasn't out of character for Pam to go back to Roy, she didn't know where she stood with Jim, she was still finding herself, and Roy knew what to say to make her think he'd changed.
What I said before, in language that was perhaps a tad to frank, is that to call neglect of that sort abuse trivializes actual abuse. Not every instance of someone not validating someone else is abuse. He was a jackass. Ignoring someone like that is uncool, stupid, and ugly, but to call it abuse just strikes me as . . . exaggeration, to say the least.

DftF, I'm not going to say, "I disagree with you." I'm going to say, "You are mistaken." And you don't have to take my word for it. There is a ton of literature describing the enormous damage that is done when a person is deprived of love, affirmation and psychological support by a person from whom they have a right to expect it (a parent, spouse or significant other). And I've seen what that sort of damage looks like, in both my personal and my professional like.
It may not be as obvious as a black eye or fat lip. But there's nothing trivial about it.
Did anybody notice that Roy was wearing a Vitamin Shoppe polo shirt in "Crime Aid"?
Yes, I did. I think lemonade also did, and posted about it in the episode thread.

Pics or it didn't happen.
Just go look in the Crime Aid thread and you'll see her comment about it. I'm too lazy to quote it here.
So how come this thread shows up in the top five or so, with a last posting time of 17 hours ago? Bri, did you have to hide something again?
Sometimes the comments are really obnoxious. Other times they're just complete non sequitirs or grammatical train wrecks. When you get a mix of all three, it's time to put the brakes on.
