My aunt was adopted. She was born in San Antonio and when she was old enough she made inquiries and got her adoption paperwork. It listed her mother’s first name only and non name for the father. It did mention that she didn’t know the father’s name. For years she had no success in finding her mothers full name. Then she did a 23 and me. It turns out her father was in the Air Force (there’s a training camp in San Antonio) and they had had a one night stand before he left for his deployment. He never got her full name either. He later married and she has three sisters. When one of the sisters contacted her, they were all able to get together. Their mother was totally lovely about it because her husband never knew my aunt existed.
