No new ep this week, so we're gonna be bored. I got to thinking: What-all DM stuff do we own? Let's list our devotion to the show via what we've invested in. I'll go first:

Dinkin Flicka bumper sticker.

Shrute Family Farms T-shirt.

Poor Richards T-shirt.

Lackawanna County Volunteer Sherrifs Deputy tracksuit.

The Dwight Bobble Head (of course).

Scrantonicity flyer posted on my office wall.

That weird chihuaua bobble head thing on someones desk...Karen, Kevin?

A self-made bag of nickels. Had to do it.

Worlds Best Boss mug. (That I bought for myself).

"The Office" christmas ornament.

Dunder Mifflin Yearly Calender, 2007. (Gift from a friend.)

Obnoxious "Office" keychain that I will never use.

And, I am totally getting the bathrobe.

As always, feel free to kill this thread if you think it's stupid.

Apr 19th 2007

Dunder Mifflin snow globe

"Ryan Started The Fire!" shirt

Dunder Mifflin calendar (I also got this as a gift)

"You can't fire me, I don't work in this van!" sticker ('nother gift)

Apr 19th 2007

My old man gave me an Office pen upon which one can press a button and get any of a variety of responses, including:

  • These are my party-planning biatches.
  • This is an environment of welcoming, and you should just get the hell out of here.

There are five of them I think. They're all Michael, from the first season. I use it to annoy Mrs F.

  • World's Best Boss Mug
  • Talking Pen (Gift)
  • The Office Post-It Note Poster
  • Autographed picture of Jenna Fischer
  • Autographed picture of J Krasinski
  • The Office Calendar
  • Dwight Shrute Bobblehead
  • 2006 Dundie Award
  • The Office sign (like the one on Michael's desk)
  • A postcard with $10 worth of postmarked stamps
  • Great Scott! CD
  • Dunder-Mifflin Letterhead
  • A working Network Draft
  • DVD's of Season's I & II
  • DVD set of BBC The Office
  • All of the episodes from ITunes on my Ipod
  • Framed photo's and Magazine Clippings
  • A bulletin board featuring some of our best haiku's
  • The Office theme song ringtone on my cell
  • Pictures from my trip to the set

I think that's about it. I'd like to get a tracksuit like whatevs and a robe. I just bought new robes about two months ago, so I'm afraid to ask for it.

Apr 20th 2007

Cool thread idea whatevs. And I am thoroughly flabberghasted at the range and number of licensed and hand-made Office items in your possession.

I've got...

  • Dwight Bobble Head (natch)
  • Talking Keychain
  • S1 & S2 DVDs
  • 18 eps on iTunes
  • 2007 wall calendar
  • Talking pen - And that's a funny story. At Christmas, I showed my wife the talking pen and keychain at the NBC online store, but told her not to get them because they were ridiculously expensive with shipping. Then when I was looking for stocking stuffers for her in Linens and Things, I spotted both for $6.99 apiece. So I got the pen, even though I knew she'd probably see them too. I just didn't want to miss a deal in case she didn't get either one for me. So I took it home and stuffed it, in the package in the bag, in my sock drawer. And I never thought about it again until two days ago when we were in Linens and Things again together and we spotted the pens again. She couldn't believe I didn't want to get one. I was like, 'No, it's not worth waiting on line for one silly thing.' (We hadn't found what we'd actually gone there for.) The real reason was that the memory of that pen had come rushing back to me. It slipped my mind again by the time I got home, though, and only when I read this thread did I run to my room, open my sock drawer and pull out the bag with the pen in it. The receipt was still in there, too. How am I going to explain this?

She'd gotten me the keychain for Christmas, by the way.

I like this thread! I have:

  • 2007 Calendar
  • 8 Season 2 episodes from iTunes
  • Season 1 & Season 2 DVDs
  • Dwight bobblehead (which sits on my work table in the dining room and glares at me accusingly every time I sit down to sew)
  • Pink Dunder Mifflin t-shirt (which I wear to bed - it's too big, but I love it)
  • Jim Hearts Pam messenger bag, which recently made its way to Goodwill because it was so beat up after a year of constant wear and tear
Apr 20th 2007

OMG - nothing

I DID however make a costume for 'son of a Roman Senator" last night We call him "Son of a Sen"

Apr 20th 2007

I want a "Dunder Mifflin" t-shirt after I saw a kid walking around campus with one on...

Apr 20th 2007

Poor Richards T-shirt.

Where does one acquire one of these? If there is such as thing as a Vance Refrigeration T-shirt I would also want one of those.

All I own is the S1 & S2 DVDs and the pen, notepad, and sticky notes that came with them in the special Severance Package.

Apr 20th 2007
  • Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD (All of S3 so far on my DVR)

Toaster, where did you get John K's autograph???

Apr 20th 2007

In addition to the NBC site, where else can I get these goodies? (My bday is tomorrow - time to shop!)

Apr 20th 2007

Jim Hearts Pam messenger bag, which recently made its way to Goodwill because it was so beat up after a year of constant wear and tear

It's also not really true anymore. Or at least there's no evidence for it.

Toaster, where did you get John K's autograph???

I got it on EBay for a ridiculously good price. It was $4.99 and then a couple of dollars to ship.

I see that everyone is including their Itunes downloads as possessions. I guess we should, since an entire season costs as much or more than I paid for the DVD set. So put me down for having ever episode on my Ipod. I also have the a good collection of The Office podcasts.

They have a pretty good collection of things here

JLJ they have Vance Refrigeration shirts at the link above.

At www.spreadshirt.com you can have custom printed tee's made for a reasonable price.

Apr 20th 2007

I own a Dunder Mifflin Baseball t-shirt. It's a great conversation starter. I have my "Dwight Army of Champions" pin on my purse. I also own the calendar, DVD's, and The Convention on iTunes. That's about it, although I covet much, much more.

I also have a pink coat very similar to Pam's, that I am wearing at the moment.

Apr 20th 2007

Do you live in Idaho, Post-it? Weather.com has 39 there, but otherwise, I think your AC's set too low.

Apr 20th 2007 edited

Yeah! I'm very happy to know I am not the only one who purchases these things! Here's my list:

DM Snowglobe
2007 Calendar
Pink DM t-shirt (also too large to wear out) Is that weird, LT? Did you get yours from Shirtheadz?
Gray DM t-shirt that fits perfectly and I am wearing it now!
Blue Vance Refrigeration shirt
S1 DVD
S2 DVD
Complete set of BBC Office DVD's
Travel Cup with collage of cast pics on it from nbc.com
S2 and some of S3 on itunes
A cast photo on my computer desk
Cast screen saver on my computer
Office theme as my ringtone
Office Valentines ( I kept half of them and the rest I sent out)

I wish I could report otherwise, but it's true. Also, you have to factor in the vicious wind chill.

As the Post-it Thief I thought you would have one by now. LOL.

You can search EBay for one at a good price or go to this online store.
You can find it here

Apr 20th 2007

Pink DM t-shirt (also too large to wear out) Is that weird, LT? Did you get yours from Shirtheadz?

That is funny, PurseGirl. I don't remember where I got mine - probably eBay. It was new - is Shirtheads a seller there?

Jim Hearts Pam messenger bag, which recently made its way to Goodwill because it was so beat up after a year of constant wear and tear

Yes. This did not play a small role in my decision to part with it, either. If things were unfolding differently, I might have been willing to overlook the juice stains on the bottom and the mysterious black crud on the side. But I cannot in good conscience pimp that relationship, so off to Goodwill it went. Maybe it was discovered by another True Fan and made her day ("Oh, my God, I can't believe I found this at Goodwill!").

Regarding The Office Post-It Note Poster:

Although I only paid about $6 plus shipping for the poster ($10), it ended up costing me about $200. First, I bought a frame for it $40 after paying half price on sale. I mounted it, but didn't know what the heck I was doing, and it looked good until I hung it up and I saw all of the wrinkles. Also there was too much glare from the lights at night. Taking off the glass didn't help much. So, I had to buy another poster because I glued it on, so there's another $10. I decided to let the pro's mount it and they switched out the glass with some anti-glare stuff. Cha-ching!! Another $140.

I'm just glad that it looks great and everything worked out despite the cost.

Apr 20th 2007

it ended up costing me about $200.

Wow, you really love your Office!

LT, yes I got it off ebay and the seller was Shirtheadz. They also have a website where I purchased the other shirts I mentioned.

But I cannot in good conscience pimp that relationship,

Now that's just hilarious. I was thisclose to purchasing a Jim hearts Pam item and am so glad I didn't do it. By now, it would have been irrelevant. At least you had fun with it last year.

You guys should'nt be too hasty ridding yourselves of your bags and shirts. Those things have a way of coming back in style.

JLJ, ToasterOven 101 beat me to it, but I think I did indeed get most of my stuff from Cafepress.

Oh, and I forgot my Vance Refrigeration tote bag, S1 and S2 DVD's, all eps on my iPod, S1 DVD of the British original, and a virtual DM post-it note on my computer's desktop. (If you have a Mac, you get that through the Widget website.)

It's a sickness, really.

Apr 20th 2007

Don't we think Jim will always heart Pam, even if they don't get together? I don't own any Office anything besides the DVDs, but I do have a Little Lebowski Urban Achiever tee shirt and then a onesie, and I sent an "Abide" sweatshirt with the Dude's face on it to my brother for Christmas. And a Nixon bowling poster like the one in the Dude's apartment. I suppose I should feel stupid for having these things now that the twenty-something boys are telling me that they got over Lebowski when they were in college, but hell. I have a photograph with me and Marty the Landlord, and I bowled a frame with Liam (who kindly refrained from effing me up). Plus I have an excuse for keeping Kahlua and vodka in the pantry (although we never seem to ever have milk on hand) for white russians. This is a movie that wasn't even made until I was out of college. I don't know why it fascinates me.

But I would love to have more Office stuff. I actually wish I had a Dunder Mifflin laptop case or some kind of soft briefcase sort of tote bag. A messenger bag could do the trick if it could hold loose paper well. I don't think I'd wear a polo shirt.

Apr 20th 2007 edited

I usually withhold my geekery until a show is off the air or in serious danger of cancellation, at least when it comes to my commerce. Thus, I have a "Whedonist" shirt, a shirt that says, "What kind of girly name is 'Angel', anyway?" (self-made, no less), a "Kiss the Librarian" mug, and a Hearst College shirt, but very little that is Office-related.

I do buy DVDs at a furious rate, however.

Yes, I think he will, and I think they will get together. Even so, he can wear his heart on his sleeve and she can wear hers in puppydog looks of longing, but I'm not going to wear that slogan on my bag anymore.

a shirt that says, "What kind of girly name is 'Angel', anyway?" (self-made, no less)

I love that, and I never even watched the show. Maybe I should make myself a "Cathartic Burning of the Banana Stand" shirt.

You might want to keep an eye on that poster of yours, TO101. evil laugh

Even so, he can wear his heart on his sleeve and she can wear hers in puppydog looks of longing, but I'm not going to wear that slogan on my bag anymore.

Good one, LT.

I always liked the shirt that said "Choose Jim." Then there was another one that said, "Choose Pam." I wanted to get one or both of those last Summer. When I thought about it, I figured that the slogan wouldn't apply for long either. By last Summer Pam's choice had been made. As far as we knew, either she had already chosen Jim after being swept away by his tender kiss on Casino Night, or broken up with Roy (which would also make choosing one over the other unecessary.) We were fairly certain that the wedding didn't happen, but if Roy was out of Pam's life, the slogan would not apply either. The only way that the slogan could have stayed relevant would have been if Pam had just postponed her wedding.

As far as the slogan, "Choose Pam" goes, that was never relevant even back then, because Jim was never faced with such a choice. Although he was asked who he would save if the boat was sinking. I guess the "Save the Receptionist" T-shirt would never go out of style because one should always save the receptionist.

I also like the one that says, "Look, I have all the clovers!" Yes, Phyllis had all the clovers and came out a winner. Sometimes the things we want most are right there in front of us the whole time. It can be painstakenly obvious to others while we are still waiting for the cards to stack in our favor. Pam, you've played this game far too long, now go get your man.
