The caterers did a commentary? Really? How was that?

May 5th 2010 edited

How was that?

No one really knows...Melora Hardin kept interrupting the caterers.

May 5th 2010

You really do watch crap, don't you, DC?

May 5th 2010

Nice. Stanley the Manly was bad about this as well, if memory serves.

May 5th 2010

Hey, I bought the things I figured I had to watch everything at least once.

The caterers brought great insight into everyones breakfast choices. I still wonder how B.J. Ryan got stuck as the one cast member present.

They made a lot of egg white omelets. I wonder what they do with the yolks?

Also, B.J. Novak can save just about any commentary. Except this one.

May 5th 2010

The caterers were really on the commentary?

May 5th 2010

Yeah, I don't know what's going on, because I haven't listened to anything after the S2 DVD's. Yep.

May 5th 2010 edited

Yep. I can't remember on what episode though.

May 5th 2010

I'll buy the S6 DVDs, mostly for the sake of having all of them. I never listen to the commentaries, no interest in them even for the good seasons.

May 5th 2010

I can't believe I used to write song lyrics that parodied West Side Story and championed the Spoilie cause. Because I haven't read a spoiler in years.

I thought that was me.

Since you guys brought up Mafia, I just wanted to say that the guy who played Purported Mafioso in this episode plays a 1930s NYC Cop in James and the Giant Peach. It's been on my mind lately, because I think I've seen that movie 12 times since Friday. It's a very peculiar worlds colliding kind of experience.

We watched that movie a few months ago, but I didn't notice that.

My son kept singing, "James....James...my name is James..." for quite awhile after we watched it. I can't imagine watching it 12 times.

May 5th 2010

I'm still pissed Krasinski and Fischer couldn't do a Casino Night commentary. Jerks.

Mike Starr. He's awesome. He's been in a ton of movies, including but not limited to Millers Crossing, Goodfellas, and Ed Wood.

Ha! I knew it! It was me!

When You're a Nerk

That was beautiful, KarenM. So was the second verse by TO101.

Who cares about those ones. He was also the mobster guy in Dumb and Dumber who dies after having eaten rat poison in his burger.

May 5th 2010

Well, I haven't seen Dumb and Dumber twelve times since Friday, so there's no way I could have known that.

May 5th 2010

Do you mean the guy that died from that atomic fire bomb thing they put on his burger?

May 5th 2010 edited

Yes. No. The peppers made his ulcer act up. So he asked Harry and Lloyd to get his ulcer meds for him. Instead they grabbed the bottle of rat poison that mobster guy was going to put in Harry and Lloyd's food, and gave it to him. My brothers and I recreate an improvised version of that scene pretty much every time we are together for a meal. By that I don't mean that we try to poison each other. We just pretty much say something like "Hey (brother)...how's your burger?" and we all laugh because we know what we're talking about, but no one else does.

May 5th 2010

It's like you're from another country or something, sometimes.

One of those two did do the commentary. The other is Krasinski.

May 5th 2010

OK, make that "Jerk."

That makes me laugh. I'm sorry I misremembered that scene, because I was practically peeing my pants in the movie theater the first time I saw it.

May 5th 2010

It's Jim Carrey's and Jeff Daniels' facial expressions. They kill me everytime I watch that scene. Especially when they're laughing and pointing at him after he takes a bite. And then, watching their facial expressions change as they realize that he's dying.

May 5th 2010

Ha! I knew it! It was me!

I'm pretty sure I did it, too.
