I've got Hunter's song "One Night" stuck in my head. You're welcome.

That was cold, dude.

Oct 31st 2008

That was so not a proportional response!

Zombie by The Cranberries.

Right back at'cha.

Oct 31st 2008

CGB.

You are evil.

After them playing "Life is a Highway" so many times and me watching the show twice before going to bed last night, I think I heard that song in my dreams.

Zombie by The Cranberries.

Nope, nothing's getting "My New Philosophy" out of my head. I like the song, so I'm okay with it for now, but I'm going to bed and it better not follow me into my dreams.

This song is playing on my radio station right now. I'm not kidding.

Jan 2nd 2009

All I hear is radio ga-ga.

Jan 2nd 2009

I remember that song. Queen, right?

The A.V. Club thought this was one of the best TV episodes of 2008

I agree with them.

May 11th 2018

I read that, back when STT posted it. It was good for reminiscing.

Aug 11th 2018

The Ringer recently listed this as one of the 100 best episodes of television of the last 18 years. I can't remember what I originally said about it (here or in the recap -- did I recap this one?), but I've always remembered it as a terrible example of a show that was sinking rapidly into ignominy after losing its narrative purpose. Man. I hate this episode. I think it is bad.

Aug 12th 2018

I agree with that. After rewatching a lot of the later seasons with my daughter, there is a lot of funny stuff there that I didn't think was funny at the time...but Dinner Party is not one of them. To me, it marks the point where The Office became a sitcom instead of a realistic mockumentary.

Aug 12th 2018

Was this where they had an exchange revealing Michael had a vasectomy performed and reversed multiple times?

Ugh.

Aug 13th 2018

Yes, it was. This was also the much anticipated episode after the writers' strike. It did not/does not live up to the hype.

Aug 15th 2018

You are all wrong.

Aug 16th 2018

You are all wrong.

Yup.

Oct 15th 2018

I hated this episode.

Oct 17th 2018

I would argue with you all that I thought this was a good episode, but I'd be basing my arguments on what I remember of it, when I watched it on television the day it aired. I remember Hunters song, which was funny. And Michaels flat screen television. And Dwight's date (his former babysitter). I would argue those were funny parts.

Oct 17th 2018

I liked it, but saw it a million years ago.

Nov 11th 2018

I’m pretty sure I dreamt this. I’m embarrassed just thinking of the strong opinions I no doubt spouted.

I remember Michael’s beer sign.
