Oscar was in the room, and beat a hasty retreat after Stanley came out of the bathroom.

Other than that (and I don't know the exact dollar amounts), you were right on.

Are there not Office themed quizzes on Sporcle?

Jun 14th 2011

You are a thief of joy, D.

Season 2 is much too easy for trivia questions. Try some Season 6 questions. I'm sure no one will get them. Or care.

Jun 14th 2011

In season 6, which position did Jim and Pam use on the wedding night?

Jun 14th 2011

All of them.

Jun 14th 2011 edited

Well, they'd been doing it for a few years by then, so I'm going to go with standard missionary or Pam on top.

Either that or the answer is that they didn't have sex, because Pam was pregnant and all gross looking.

Jun 14th 2011

I'm going to go with Jim on top. Of Erin.

Oh, I play this at home all the time while I'm falling asleep.

So does Bri.

Jun 14th 2011

In my imagination, I always see Pam up on all fours up on the bed. Or in the shower, all soaped up and bent over.

Jun 14th 2011

Well crap, now I am too.

There goes my afternoon.

Kill the balloon! Kill the balloon!

The Office will have a new behind-the-scenes boss next season as Paul Lieberstein is stepping down as executive producer-showrunner. He is expected to lend a hand while he preps the potential spinoff series starring Rainn Wilson, The Farm, which he co-created, but search is under way for a new showrunner to take the reins of the veteran comedy series next season. Meanwhile, conversations with key Office cast members John Krasinski, Ed Helms, Jenna Fischer and B.J. Novak, who have no deals beyond this season, continue, though I hear that they have stalled for the moment. Locking in as many actors of the core quartet as possible is critical for the future of the series in light of the potential departures of Wilson, who would move onto the spinoff series sometime next season, and Mindy Kaling, who has a pilot in the running at Fox. Additionally, this season’s addition James Spader recently announced that he would be leaving in May.

The Office’ Showrunner Paul Lieberstein Preps His Exit As Return Of Key Cast Members Still In Limbo

Well, only three seasons too late. Season 9 is looking less likely.

"Next season"?

So do John and Jenna consider each other in the contract negotiations? Wouldn't it be tough to keep just one of them? Maybe no one agrees to come back and the show ends this year. Or none of them agree and Creed becomes the manager and Merideth is his sidekick.

At this point, they could easily write one of them off the show. It's not like they haven't done several episodes with only one of them, like when JF was on maternity leave, or when JK was off shooting his latest bomb.

I think it's time to bring back David Denman and get Pam and Roy back together finally.

Those two belong together. I can't think of a better stepdad than Roy.

Mar 22nd 2012

Jim's going to leave the next office party because he's beat, and he'll call out to Roy, "Hey Anderson, keep an eye on her, all right?"

Mar 22nd 2012

It's kind of sad how good an idea that sounds. Man, did they screw up this show.

Mar 22nd 2012

Man, did they screw up this show.

Yesh. I can't think of another show where my feelings of it went from complete enjoyment to utter disdain.

Mar 22nd 2012

Well, other than Blossom.

Mar 22nd 2012

Woah

I've been thinking about that article, and its implications, since I first read it a few days ago. This really could be the end of The Office. It really sounds like the cast won't be renegotiating, unless NBC just throws a wack of cash at them to stay for one more season. Which, I realize, could happen. But still, it might not, too.

I know we've been wanting the show to die a dignified death for about four or five seasons now, (and we know that isn't going to happen) but now that it actually seems like the end is near, I mean, that's kind of a big deal for me.

Mar 26th 2012

NBC just throws a wack of cash at them to stay for one more season.

Why would they, though? I mean, the show "works" without Michael, it "works" with anybody. Heck, even that insulting British guy got the show to work in England years ago. They could cast anyone. It's just a template. Tim & Dawn, Jim & Pam, Andy & Erin, heck, Ryan & Kelly, Darryl & the chick in the warehouse...they all fit the same mold.

Mar 26th 2012

Are you suggesting they recast the whole show and hope nobody cares/notices?

Mar 26th 2012

I think they should just age Jim & Pam's kid so it can come on camera and say cute stuff.
