Since ranking things is my fourth favorite thing to do

Hilarious. Well done, AMJ.

Feb 27th 2008

Going out on a limb, I'm going to predict that Casino Night will win.

Really living on the edge there huh? :)

Feb 27th 2008

Not The Fight? :-)

Many people say that their favorite season of season 2 (or the whole show) is either The Injury or The Dundies. I'm expecting one of those two to make it.

Sorry, I posted in its own thread but I wanted to pass these youtube videos of Melora Hardin aka Jan on to other fans of our favorite show. She's starred episodes on the Youtube series "Elevator". I thought they were cute and wanted to share.

*Melora Hardin Super Fan *The Office Song <-- my favorite *Nanny Cam

I love Jan so I hope you like them as much as I did!

Feb 28th 2008

Melora Hardin Ruuuules.

Here's another funny one! Best so far!

A Boy and His Cat

I think The Injury and The Dundies will be second and third (or third and second), but Casino Night will win. Feel free to save this and mock me if I'm wrong.

The Carpet was just voted off. That and Dwight's Speech were the easy choices for the bottom two, now it starts getting difficult. I considered Performance Review, Christmas Party, Drug Testing, and even Booze Cruise, but eventually I voted for (against?) Valentine's Day.

Feb 29th 2008

I considered . . . Drug Testing

Heeeyyy.

This is why I couldn't vote for that poll, because I love at the very least various elements from all the episodes.

Feb 29th 2008

I'm going to vote Casino Night in every round! The Injury must win.

Feb 29th 2008

I'll bet you that "Casino Night" wins, and 2-3 will be "The Dundies" and "Booze Cruise". There are other episodes that may or may not be better, but those are usually considered the touchstones of season 2.

I have a soft spot for "E-mail Surveillance," but that may simply be because I never saw it on tv and it was a nice treat of a new episode when I got the dvds.

Feb 29th 2008

Or because it's adorably sweet when Jim sings with Michael, even though Michael crashed his party.

Feb 29th 2008 edited

Absolutely. It's a great episode on its own merits, but I think I like it a bit more because of the above-stated reason.

I have a similar bias toward "Office Olympics", since it was one of the first episodes I saw and because it reminded me a lot of how my office had recently been. And now we know that the yogurt lids made it one of the most significant episodes in the series, them and flonkerton.

Feb 29th 2008

If I didn't like E-mail Surveillance its because that damned Michael Gary Scott was so awkward at the Improv classes, that they make me squirm uncontrollably. So essentially what I'm saying is that I didn't like it because it was so good. Catch-22.

Feb 29th 2008

Maybe you really like it, but Agent Scarn has a gun to your head and is making you say otherwise.

Feb 29th 2008

Those improv scenes are awesome in their crapitude.

Feb 29th 2008

and flonkerton.

I loved how Jim told Phyllis to put her foot in the flonk. But I can't vote any of them off because of the same reason gb stated above.

They voted off The Carpet? I thought the voicemails alone would save it...also, the cuteness that was Pam going "Mmm. No, uhummm, uhumm" and then telling Michael "Open the door up!".

Feb 29th 2008

I really liked The Carpet, particularly the voicemails, and Kevin trying to get Michael to hold his coffee before he goes into his office.
And any time Joe Rogan gets made fun of is a very good time, despite his good work on Newsradio.

Feb 29th 2008

I voted for "Michael's Birthday", which is an episode that -- despite the charming Jim & Pam trip to the supermarket -- has always felt a little thin to me. I thought about "Take Your Daughter to Work Day", but Stanley's rant saved it. That rant makes my top three or four all-time favorite Office moments.

And when he busted on Ned "Carlos" Mencia.

But Michael's Birthday gave us ticking timebags...and six-one-foot subs...and a poster of Luke Perry...and "no cookie".

And Michael, in the midst of being a weird jerk at the skating rink, has a nice moment with Carol's kids. (Reminiscent of the end of Halloween)

Actually, I enjoyed a lot of Michael's moments in this episode - especially after he finds out about Kevin. You can see how torn he is between his own narcissism and a very real concern for one of "his family".

Feb 29th 2008

It's one of those episodes that I feel like I should like, but my initial impression of it overwhelms my more analytic take, which fully acknowledges that there are several classic moments in the episode, chief of which may be Ryan's talking head in stunned silence -- easily the funniest Ryan moment ever.

I agree. Because he's silent. And not spouting off like a smarmy little jack-arse as usual.

Feb 29th 2008

Yes, his funniest moment indubitably.

Feb 29th 2008

And when he busted on Ned "Carlos" Mencia.

Good call. I forgot about that.

Feb 29th 2008

I was just over at TVSquad.com and they were writing about Valerie Bertinelli (at 30 years, my longest running personal crush) will have her own talk show. The first comment below the post was "They should call the show M.I.L.F." Thanks Kevin.

have you guys checked out the Office Interactive Set Tour on nbc.com? OT linked to it. There are a ton of little goodies. I just now found the Agent Michael Scarn script and am laughing my butt of over here. I haven't read it all yet but some of the stuff in the script is stuff they didn't show on tv. It's pretty funny.
