It did make me a little nervous to read that cast members have been reading this forum (at least on occasion), I got that "what have we been saying?" feeling.

Exactly. The other thing is, I felt a little self-conscious knowing that 2000 - 3000 come here everyday and only a handful are posting. That means 2000 - 3000 people are reading our posts!

I'm on the Peninsula too. It's not even 6am!

and Wink, whereabouts on the Peninsula are you?

ETA: Great, great interview Brian and James. Also ETA: Hey all 2000 -3000 who are secretly lurking. There's a plug in my honor on the top of page 79 on the Haiku thread. Just want to make sure you know.

So what? It's like we're in mall, at the food court, say, and we're talking about our favorite show. We get up, do some stuff, come back, and see what else is going on. Except it's a really crowded mall, and all the other people are leaning in, 'cause want to hear what we're saying.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm having a ton of fun chatting with the people behind these great sites/podcasts. The blog in general has greatly increased my job satisfaction and enjoyment of the show. I'm hoping to connect with Tanster over at OT, and I have a couple other ideas. Any other suggestions in the meantime?

Just wanted to put in my two cents. That was a "fan"tastic read. Pun. Great questions and great answers. On the downside, I had to refresh the page at least twelve times to be able to read the entire thing, but it was worth it.

Oops, I posted this in the wrong place, sorry about that gang!

Melora Hardin, Jan Levinson (no Gould), was nice enough to do an interview for my Pop Culture blog, which I posted up there today. I thought I would share it with the community at Northern Attack! If you can go check it out hopefully you'll find other fun stuff you enjoy there too!

I just read it, Bobblehead Joe. I loved the interview and I also enjoyed reading about the American Idol stuff. I wonder if Melora's movie will come to the Big Screen.

Mar 29th 2007

Wasn't that nice of her to do an interview? Can I not wait to read it or what? Do you think I should move on to pursuing cast member interviews after I've reached all the fan site operators? Aren't everyday people more interesting to read about, though? Could I get through a conversation with Angela or Jenna without losing my cool? Wouldn't I be just as giddy talking to Steve Carell?

How come Brian goes all questions in this thread, but has such difficulty with, you know, Question:?

(Wow, that's a dogpile of punctuation at the end of that sentence.)

Mar 29th 2007

I don't know, futureboy. Brian's been acting strange on many threads this afternoon for some reason. Brian, don't you have an amazing story to tell about a family member who got caught up in the world of drugs?

Mar 29th 2007 edited

Yeah. Go on Brian. It'll be okay. You're among friends here. This would be a good place to let it out, Brian. These are people you can trust. These are people who care about you. It's okay. Just- we will not judge you. We are here to not judge you. Wait. Yes we are.

Mar 29th 2007

I'm beginning to understand what has happened here.

Anyway. If we have a couple thousand people swinging by every day and listening to what we have to say, I like to think we have fans. I must be the favorite team of the hostile & disappointed. Those from the future, as well.

Mar 29th 2007 edited

Yes. I believe that's true, DwightfromtheFuture. I suppose I represent those who get shoved towards copiers when annoying co-workers go to the bathroom. Your, uh, constituents, I guess, sound way cooler.

Mar 29th 2007

Thanks, folks. Gold star to Brian for fueling my ego even more. Wonderful job, I really enjoyed answering your questions.

San Mateo. Right off of Norfolk.

You weren't kidding, ToasterOven. That is mere minutes away from where I live (just off of Hillsdale and 101).

Wow, awesome! I feel a little kinship here.

I'm just down the road in San Carlos. Are you still in Calif, ToasterOven101?

You're just a few exits down 101. I used to work in San Carlos at Holly and Industrial Rd. at 101 for Eimac. I also worked at Moffett Field for NASA, although I'm not a rocket scientist.

I've been all over the Peninsula and know it a lot better than I know things around here. I'm in Elk Grove now, about 2 hrs. north. We are supposedly the fastest growing city in the US, but the funny thing is that the majority of the population are transplants from the Bay Area, so I feel right at home here.

My mother, brother, and sister are in San Mateo as are my in-laws. My brother and sister are Office fans although not to the extent that I am.

I know you didn't ask for a mini-bio, but it's going to be another sleepless night and the forum has gone dead so...

Mar 30th 2007

but it's going to be another sleepless night

Must my son feel the same way right now?

Mar 30th 2007 edited

I know you didn't ask for a mini-bio,

But I enjoyed, it ToasterOven101, and the "101" in your name has new significance now! (it's one of the main highways around here, the "Bayshore Freeway", in case others are curious). It sounds like you are very much a San Mateo person with all your family still there. It's a very nice place. I like it because it's one of the older cities on the Peninsula. Sorry about your sleepless nights.

You too Brian. Having a baby in the house means living in a circle of fatigue. But I think you'll feel better when you stop with the questions. It must be exhausting too. I must have missed something, are you paying for crimes on the Question thread?

Mar 30th 2007

Brian, you said that you would like to get a chance to interview cast members. Now that we know that Jenna and John read these forums after the episodes air, what would it be like interviewing Jenna knowing that she knows everything you've been saying about the red sweater? This question must be answered within the next 40 minutes or it is a moot point.

Mar 30th 2007

How creeped out could she be if she still agreed to talk, right? And it's not like we're talking about a red thong or a red teddy, is it? Besides, aren't I extremely charming? Wouldn't I have to be made of stone not to find the red sweater captivating? Wouldn't she have to take that into account?

Mar 30th 2007

Brian, will you be seeing Blades of Glory? If you do, will you still be thinking about the red sweater? Explain.

Mar 30th 2007

Wouldn't I have to be made of stone not to find the red sweater captivating?

She who wears the red sweater must bear the consequences of the sweater. Which in this case includes some sweaty fans. I bet she doesn't mind the discussion a bit.

Mar 30th 2007

Have I seen a movie in eight months? Can I answer hypothetically?

Mar 30th 2007 edited

I would like to know how a 2 minute scene of boob play took 12 hours to film. I think they tricked Jenna. Maybe Brian knows.

Mar 30th 2007

Is Will Ferrell not every man's hero? Might a lesser man not have squeezed more than eight hours from that scene? Didn't Jenna say this... “Strangely enough, I wanted to do that movie because of that scene. Not because I wanted to be groped by Will Ferrell — not that it was a bad experience — but just that I loved the idea of one character reluctantly seducing another character.” ...thereby proving her coolness?

Nice.

Alright, so exactly what's the problem with the boinkenberry JAM?

Mar 30th 2007

Could that have been code?

James is the king of backwards.

Happy 4/1, fools!

Mar 31st 2007

Oh, now I get it! I was so confused... Good job, James, you totally got me :)
