Now all those pics I put up in the S2 episode threads will all be gone.

Yes, they are. Sad.

Apr 26th 2011

I profiled a lot of the Office fansite operators, but I didn't get around to them. I wish I had. No doubt they still have all those images but just didn't feel like paying to host them anymore.

Apr 26th 2011

They should be here.

The images...not necessarily the owners. But them, too. If they aren't too weird.

Apr 26th 2011

Especially if they're weird.

Apr 26th 2011

I'm bummed. I loved that they had pretty much every second of the first few seasons in pictures. I could find any picture I needed from mistletoe on Packer's crotch to Pam's It's a Date face. Anque, I love that picture, too.

Apr 26th 2011

They always left me satisfied and smiling.

DftF, check out my latest FB video. It is a direct result of your musical efforts.

Note to self: Stop reading the comments at Office Tally. Any of them. Anywhere on the site. I feel like I have to wash my brain.

So you guys remember my friend and co-worker and podcast partner of long ago, Chris? Well, since he was laid off, he has been busy. The guy's a great interviewer and reporter, and also a talented a capella'er as well as a pop culture maven. (Who doesn't want to be a maven?) And he's done a great job bringing those all together into a blog and companion podcast he just launched and which I only slightly shamelessly plug here, Pop on the Clock. It's also on Twitter and Facebook, if that's how you roll.

Aug 5th 2011

That makes me wish I had an iPod.

Aug 5th 2011

Wow, they covered a lot of information in one podcast, man.

Aug 8th 2011

So when are you going to be called on Bri? Give us a heads up when you're a guest star, okay?

Aug 8th 2011

Yeah, I don't pay attention to stuff anymore, so that's probably not happening.

Aug 8th 2011

Maybe you could do a retro podcast of seasons 1-3 of The Office. I bet you could hold your own in that discussion. Is it too soon for nostalgia for a series that is still on the air?

Aug 8th 2011

I've been nostalgic for this show for about three years, so no. I don't think it's too soon for that at all.

Aug 8th 2011

If you need any tips on where it lost it's mojo, let me know.

Aug 8th 2011

We should have done that group podcast here when we had the idea. Anque was gung ho, and I had the platform. Would have been cool to look back on, if nothing else.

It was Daoust that wrecked everything, right?

Aug 9th 2011

I was too busy being married and then too busy being a cool guy in New York.

Note that almost everybody here was one of those things or the other at one time or another.

Aug 10th 2011

Listen. It's not my fault that we only have tin cans tied to string up here. Give us 30-40 years and I'm sure we'll catch up.

I remember that! I still think we should try doing a TV show podcast of some kind.

You know, I was also thinking the other day of trying to convince you guys to do a political podcast with me called Compromise. Just 4 or 5 of us moderate intelligent folks, discussing a current issue, then we start the clock and have to come to some kind of compromise in 30 minutes. It would be interesting to see how difficult or easy it could be and whether or not compromise is always good for everyone or only a few or what happens when everyone loses...

Anyway.

Aug 22nd 2011

I would do that, except I put the over/under before I call someone I like and respect a nincompoop at about 25 minutes.

Aug 22nd 2011

Awesome! We can make the cut off point 22 minutes. That would be fun, too. And the trick would be that we'd all have the topic well in advance. We'd have all the same articles to read and be on the same 'page' as it were as far as the information that is out there. I could use the other eight minutes to cut an informative opener and a quick closer and the middle would just be pure awesome. I'd even be excited to have a Canadian conservative perspective on United States politics thrown in there.

Aug 22nd 2011

I'd be good for about 3 minutes before losing it. This statement is broadly applicable to me.

Aug 23rd 2011

intelligent folks

Where are you going to find those here?

I don't really want to chat about politics or any one thing really, but it there was a way to do a real-time group audio chat, like some sort of mega three-way phone call, but you know, on the internet, I'd be up for it some evening. I've got a mic and ear-phone thing. Oh, and my new computer has a webcam built in. Is there some way to dial into a lot of other people for a Skype chat or something? The computer came with Skype, but I'm not really familiar with it. I think it does video calls?

So I guess I'm saying, if the project changed dramatically, I'd be way into it.

Oh, yeah. One more thing. No Canadians.

Aug 23rd 2011

Ah ha ha ha ha. Yes, skype does that. So does google. And actually I think one of them does group video chat.

Aug 23rd 2011

Just 4 or 5 of us moderate intelligent folks

I'm out.

Aug 23rd 2011

(sigh)

Aug 23rd 2011

It's a great idea, though. I'd like to see people from opposite ends of the spectrum, who respect each other, get together and talk about a problem. Once we get past the liberals saying that the conservatives are only helping the rich, and the conservatives stop saying that liberals hate America, maybe some progress would be made.

You'll never see that on TV, because it's all about the sound bite and the zinger.

Aug 23rd 2011

Exactly. No one will listen to our podcast either, but we'll like it and that's all that matters.
