The whole career vs relationship conflict could have been interesting for Pam. I liked the way they brought her home, they just didn't develop the stint at Pratt enough.

If they had made him one of Pam's professors who thought she had some real talent (as they hinted at in an earlier episode) and that her choice was between that and Scranton then the whole Pratt storyline would have worked a lot better. Failing the graphic design class seemed a lame alternative.
