I don't know either.

I tried searching for "Grantland the Office" and came up with an attorney in Mill Valley, California.

Is it a theme park for Ulysses S. Grant? Because there is a dearth of theme parks for 19th century presidents.

I didn't know what it was either, but I googled, and it looks like a bunch of couch located wannabe jocks commenting on stuff. Is that accurate, or have I missed something?

I assume it's named after Grantland Rice?

You should ride the Appomattox Coaster and the Vicksburg Log Flume.

Sep 29th 2011

Yes to both. Let's just say the name BIll Simmons is prominently involved.

There's some really good writing there, don't get me wrong. But also a whole lot of douchiness and boring writing.

Then there's the Picket's Charge shooting booth. Pop enough Confederate kids and you get a stuffed horse.

I wanted to ride "Sherman's March to the Sea", but I heard it burned down.

There is something on there worth reading nearly every day. Of course, they post about 30 items a day so the averages aren't great.

I couldn't think of anything funny, but I suspected you guys would run with it.

Exactly. It's also free so it's tough to complain about it too much.

My favorite is the Cavalry Carousel. But you've got to be careful - it's all fun and games till someone gets a bayonet through the heart.

I have never liked anything Bill Simmons has done. I feel like this makes me not a dude or something.

Sep 29th 2011

I feel similarly. He's kind of a phenomenon that passed me by.

I believe the Cavalry Carousel is located right beside a burger place - you can get either Blue Burgers or Gray Burgers, which come with Grapeshot Tots and a canteen of water. A little farther down the causeway is Hooker's Whorehouse, where those with weary feet can watch a singing and dancing review.
