The Watercooler is powered by Vanilla, the sweetest forum on the web.
Thanks for all of your hard work.
You're Mozart and Tanster is sort of like a friend of Mozart....
Thanks James, these forums have truly made my day.
Go ahead, let your ego grow.
...and you try and hurt Mozart, you’re gonna get a bullet in your head, courtesy of Butch Cassidy. ;)
Go ahead, let your ego grow.
That's a dangerous can of worms to open up seeing how my ego is already out of hand to begin with.
Seriously, though, I really appreciate all of this. The quality of any set of forums depends largely on the quality of its participants, and you guys and gals are a pretty terrific audience. Northern Attack didn't start off as much, but thanks to you all and an incredibly supportive cast, it's come along much further than I could ever have anticipated. I have you all to thank as much as you have me. So, you're welcome... and thank you.
You should go global. Slap up a couple of Nike ads and buy a sweatshop in Tailand. It would GREATLY increase your revenue.
Thank you for "The Watercooler," James. This is just the start of what I know will be a terrific forum. I love your attention to details and the smooth, clean format you have chosen. I think it makes Northern Attack quite unique and special.
Not to sound snobbish, but I have noticed that the people who post on this site seem to be smarter, more articulate, and a bit more detail-oriented than average. I'm not sure if this is because The Office has a more intelligent fan base or if there is just something extraordinary about Northern Attack that draws a smarter crowd. Maybe it's a little of both. Has anyone else noticed this? Whatever it is, I love it!
Thanks again, James, for all of your hard work and effort. It is sincerely appreciated. :)
I totally agree, Lori. This site has somehow managed to draw a crowd that types in normal English...something that's pretty rare recently. Haha.
Seriously though, this really is some great stuff, James.
I would like to use my first post on this site to say that you guys are the best. This is the first site I've ever been on with a talkback or forums that people haven't begun sniping at one another or saying inflammatory remarks just for the sake of starting a flame war. It's a refreshing change, to say the least. The makers of this site should be proud of that, and of the actual site itself. It looks as if a lot of hard work was put into it, and it looks great.

Lori, this is indeed a sophisticated and grammar-respecting crowd! I love it. :)
Thanks James! I am having so much fun on this forum! Northern Attack was awesome before, but now it's just about perfect! Lori, you're absolutely right. This is a pretty articulate group of people. It's a pleasure to read and write with you all.
The greatness of everything here is really beyond words. The importance of being able to read through a forum without getting a headache from poor grammar is really incalculcable.
Well hello,
Been lurking for a while but thought I'd come out and say thanks! Love the site, love the forums and more importantly, my heart overfloweth with love for The Office.

And by bringing us The Watercooler, our hero James has made himself even more approachabler.
You're awesome James! I love all of your insight into the show and how organized and accessible everything is.
don't ever let that JPI get below even, no matter what anyone says!:)

Word to that BATMARC13!
I agree, this is a very friendly site with a nice crisp look to it. The forums are simple and easy to navigate and I love how there actually are other people around who love The Office as much as me and love dissecting it to speculate and whatnot.
GO NORTHERN ATTACK!
First of all, this is my first post, but I have to say, thanks for the opportunity to be on what seems like a very friendly messageboard. I love the layout; very professional and simply zen-like. I look forward to discussing this great show with people who share the same passion.
Zen-like is a good way to describe it, false-s1gns!
The color scheme is very soothing, no?
NA got some more pimpage from Jenna in her newest tvguide.com blog. Huzzah!

Way to go, James! Woo-hoo!!!!!
(Sorry, I know that excessive use of exclamation points is not allowed in this forum, but I had to throw caution to the wind just this once.)
Congrats on your mention in Pam's TV Guide Blog!!! How awesome is that? :-)
This forum is awesome.
James, is this an impimiation of Vanilla software? If not, could you tell us what software this is built on?
Oh, it's ridiculous. Thank you for the congratulations, everybody. Obviously I'm grateful for the mention itself, but the way she references NA is particularly awesome; following up Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant is a high honor. I'm definitely printing out that article and posting it next to my door.
To answer your question, Tapper: yes, these forums are running on Vanilla. I created a custom Vanilla style based on the stylesheet for Northern Attack and applied a few minor tweaks to the forum software (written in PHP, so this wasn't too difficult).
I have a Vanilla forum I started a few weeks ago (for a completely different subject matter) and it looks clean but not as clean as this is. This is a nice style. Thanks
OfficeTally is teaming up with Northern Attack to deliver a special promotion with a shiny, new prize at the end. Stay tuned.
Oh, wow! That is great news. Two of the nicest people (James and Jennie), with the best online Office communities (NA and OfficeTally), teaming up to bring us something (??) brilliant, no doubt. That's awesome, guys. Can't wait!
I do love this place! Everyone is nice and helpful with passing on information, links etc. Shout out to UpDog for hooking me up with Season 2! Love the posts. Some of you are hilarious! Look forward to much more!
I love this place so much. I pretty much come here during my computer class...when I'm not supposed to...and yes, I do love the fact that people type in coherent sentences! I'm just sad I missed the chat room after the finale.
