In 8th grade we struggled with sine, cosine, and tangent until a friend of mine came up with a pneumonic that's stuck with me all these years.

Sine: Opposite/Hypotenuse
Cosine: Adjacent/Hypotenuse
Tangent: Opposite/Adjacent
