Ok, people, this is the next episode up. It seems like a lot of folks have lives (what's that like, anyway?), but I'm still going to do this, even if I'm doing it by myself.

That's what I said...about the last episode thread we opened up.
But I'm here with you griefbone. We can do it together.
Well for Health Care I put up a post with all kinds of insightful and witty comments and almost no one responded. So screw you guys. Plus the Broncos are on.
Pie balls! I forgot to re-watch Health Care! I was going to watch it over the weekend but I went shopping instead and forgot....no wait , my dog ate my dvds and my iTunes...no wait, I was deathly ill cough, cough. I will be watching this one. Fo Sho.
Plus the Broncos are on.
Sorry, I can't either. Oh wait, I don't have NFL network. Boo. Anyway, I'll be winging my way to Phoenix for a weekend of festivities tonight so I really can't.
Thanks! I'm pretty psyched to see some cacti again....and friends. I made the decision to take the bus(es) to the airport, so wish me luck.
Allrighty, here are my thoughts.
"Their bread is very good" has to be one of my favorite lines/delivery of a line on the show. It makes me laugh every time.
Pam's talking head about smacking Angela and gambling: there's some fire in Pam long before she became Fancy New Beesly. On the other hand, at the end of the epsiode, she meekly and with head down goes with Roy after the alliance blows up in her and Jim's faces. Perhaps there were some small inclinations prior to Season 4 (or "Beach Games") that she could be a take-charge type of gal.
Michael trying to think up a line for the card reminds me of how I sit in front of the computer while on this forum trying to think up something clever to match all of you. The difference? When I fail, I try not to overexplain my bad jokes.
Michael's distaste for Jim's corporate fraud joke: was he afraid that Jim's joke would outdo his or is that out of some weird loyalty to the company--Michael can make jokes about the company but no one else can? Kind of like when he got mad at Pam for jumping on his "I need a raise" joke earlier in the series?
I like the fact that Jim and Pam so willfully jump in and joke about downsizing throughout their prank: they sure don't care about it.
Finally, Pam has herself a kitten calendar behind her desk. That's interesting to me.
I just watched The Alliance (and Benihana Christmas) and I realized that I really really miss our little show. Some thoughts:
Ah, the watercooler, our home of the scuttlebutt.
Did you know: the original meaning of "scuttlebutt" was a cask of water that was kept on a ship's desk, around which sailors gathered to gossip? Eventually it became synonymous with gossip for this reason. In a hundred years, people may be asking, "What's the watercooler?"
"Mmm . . . mmm . . . mmm . . . maybe" is one of my favorite moments of this show ever.

I did know that. I read it on a Civil War-related website a while back.

If NA had an election for biggest nerd, and these were the primaries, you would be the front runner and would get my early vote.

I appreciate your support, Daoust, but, as your candidate, I would be remiss if I didn't make it clear that my reference to that particular website was a poor joke-reference to DftF's recap of this episode on northernattack, which for some reason my computer won't access.
Thank you all for your continued support in these troubled times for my campaign.

I was sure I had read that factoid somewhere else recently! Thanks for clearing the air. Honesty goes a long way in the nerd elections.

If nothing else, I guess it bolsters my nerd credentials.
