James!

Meanwhile, Oscar (Oscar Nunez) circulates a viral video he created that compares Kevin’s (Brian Baumgartner) voice to Sesame Street's Cookie Monster.

Wait...what?

Upon immediate reflection, this makes sense.

This is an appealing episode summary.

Andy (Ed Helms) pulls out all the stops to give Erin a memorable Secretary’s Day.

Ugh....more of them? There's only a handful of episodes left in the season, why not focus on Dwight and Angela and Isabel??

Apr 18th 2010

Hurray for a new episode but the description is not exciting.

Apr 19th 2010

I'm glad there's a new episode. Sadly, I'm more curious about if there's a new Community, too.

Apr 19th 2010

This episode is being preempted for the Blazers-Suns game here on Thursday night. I'm okay with this.

Apr 19th 2010

I've been told we have to call it "Administrative Professional's Day."

Apr 19th 2010

I've been told we have to call it "Administrative Professional's Day."

That way you'll give the broads more respect.

Apr 19th 2010

And by respecting them, we honor them.

Apr 19th 2010

And by "respect", we mean "bone".

Apr 19th 2010

What if it's a male receptionist?

Apr 19th 2010

Equal opportunity.

Apr 19th 2010

Cocks in the cockhouse.

Apr 19th 2010

Don't say cocks.

Apr 20th 2010

I like the Andy and Erin plot, so (much to your guys derision) I'm totally okay with this episode, or so it would seem.

Apr 20th 2010

I like Andy and Erin, too. I hope it's a good show.

Apr 20th 2010

Yeah I like the idea. I also like the oscar Kevin storyline.

Apr 22nd 2010

Eh. Sounds like more of the same, and it's yet to be seen whether that's a good or bad thing.

Apr 22nd 2010

I'm so excited, my head has receded down my neck and come out my rear end.

Apr 22nd 2010

Sorry, I was just feeling a little nostalgic for that S2 enthusiasm we all once shared.

Sorry, I was just feeling a little nostalgic for that S2 enthusiasm we all once shared.

Do you think Jim will say anything to Pam this episode?

Apr 22nd 2010

Are Jim & Pam still on the show?

Apr 22nd 2010

Not as we used to know them.

Just to give this some perspective, there were over 100 posts before the airing of Casino Night. That's the most pre-episode talk (that didn't go off on tangents) of any episode that I could find. It had way more than Beach Games, The Job, or Gay Witch Hunt, probably combined. (ETA. Niagara actually was pretty close.)

Not that I'm comparing Secretary's Day to Casino Night (blessed be it's name), but just to show you the contrast.

Apr 22nd 2010

I want that back, that vibe or feeling of group anticipation for something you know, or at least hoped mightily, would be great. It's kind of sad, but the pinnacle of the show was Casino Night, and that was a month and a half before I ever created an account here. I have to admit that much of the time since I've been hoping it could recreate that kind of greatness, but it's never really came close for me. Now coming here has little, if anything, to do with the show.

I keep hoping they will turn things around and was slightly hopeful after the MSPC arc that this season might get things back. Unfortunately they seem to have lost track of the idea that the characters should have consistent personalities. Now they just seem to go for what they think is funny (Jim is an idiot, Pam is angry) whether it makes sense or not. And then there's Hamnard.

Apr 22nd 2010

I don't care what it's about tonight I'm just starved for some new TO. Bring it on.
