I got my loot from Toos! I got it several days ago. Don't judge me. It included:

  • a plastic dinosaur/card from a Wendy's tie-in with Night at the Museum 2
  • a snowglobe from St. Louis, Mo.
  • 3 packages of crushed crackers from Wendy's
  • a paper band from a cigar
  • a pretty antique-looking hand mirror, which my daughter has already claimed
  • a business card from The Stupid Club
  • a little vial of what I think are some of those crystals they put in things to absorb moisture
  • some self-adhesive reinforcements for 3-ring paper
  • a plastic witch cupcake pick
  • a candy mold of Christmas trees
  • the User's Guide for Norton AntiVirus 2004

A good haul. Thanks, 2C2C!

the User's Guide for Norton AntiVirus 2004

This is awesome. It all is, but this made me giggle.

a candy mold of Christmas trees

Wait. You haven't made candy with it yet, have you?

We put Sculpy in it last year to make Christmas trees to go with our train set. They are way bigger than HO scale, though. Hopefully you'll find a use. Also, the reinforcements are very old and are no longer adhesive. Enjoy!

I just realized I never said what I got.

I think I know who it is, but the return address said "Surprise."

I now have a pair of stick-on sandals.

No more tanlines for you!

My package arrived this afternoon from LT, and it was chock full of wonderfulness--quilting panels, half-finished needlepoint projects, some pillow fronts with candlewicking designs on them, a ball of fancy yarn, a sewing pattern, and a little care package from what must have been her kids to mine. The butterfly and badger figures were equally well received. There were also craft magazines and two of what might be diaper or tissue holders in that kind of retro floral fabric that I dig. Finally, there was some yardage of a gold stripe fabric that would have gone so perfectly in my palm tree quilt that I pretend kinda feel like ripping the thing apart and putting it in there.

Thank you! We all had fun opening it.

Thank you!

And there were four Christmas placemats! And a juicer! And thread to finish the half-completed needlepoint project! And an anthology with reading glasses! It is as awesome as I was warned it would be. :)

All I got was a rock.

Jan 5th 2011

Did you have LTC too?

Jan 5th 2011

They are way bigger than HO scale, though.

HO scale?

Pudding....pudding...

a little vial of what I think are some of those crystals they put in things to absorb moisture

Are you sure it isn't Chiclets. (that is the correct spelling)

Jan 5th 2011

It's silica. Don't eat it.

Jan 5th 2011

It's silica. Don't eat it.

What? I've been popping those things like candy.

This could explain a lot.

Jan 5th 2011

It's actually northern lights cannabis silica.

Jan 5th 2011

Good high, but leaves you with a terrible hacking cough.

Jan 5th 2011

It says "Do not eat" right on the package, but it says nothing about smoking, so I assume it's all right for that use.

I once worked with a guy in the shoe department of JC Penney's who tried eating that stuff. He now makes me think of someone in this forum.

Jan 5th 2011

Haha.

Jinx, right?

That's the second time in a row that I've opened this thread and laughed out loud. Great work.

Great work all around today, peeps. Loving the action in NA today.

(But not the correct grammar.)

Loving the action in NA today.

Ditto. Practically a whole page of (relevant) whitened threads! So nice.

Loving the action in NA today.

Me too. Can't wait to re-read Anque's contribution on a non-work computer.
