Summary courtesy of NBC:
DWIGHT OFFERS FREE FAMILY PORTRAITS FOR THE OFFICE— Andy (Ed Helms) returns to Dunder Mifflin as a janitor, harboring a secret plan. Dwight (Rainn Wilson) goes to great lengths to steal a DNA sample from Angela's (Angela Kinsey) baby in order to prove his paternity. Two-time Emmy winner James Spader, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Mindy Kaling, B.J. Novak, Leslie David Baker, Phyllis Smith, Brian Baumgartner, Oscar Nunez, Kate Flannery, Paul Lieberstein, Creed Bratton, Craig Robinson, Ellie Kemper, Zach Woods, and Catherine Tate also star.
I thought everyone liked last weeks? Where's David Wallace? Where's the good stuff?
harboring a secret plan
I'm pretty sure this covers the David Wallace stuff. Why he needs to dress up as a janitor is the part that bothers me. I haven't had many of my former co-workers ever try to sneak back into the company in disguise.
I don't think he'll be in disguise. He'll just get a job for the building (doesn't Dwight own it?) and then do some kind of subterfuge.
Oops, I guess I was just leaping to the most ridiculous conclusion given their track record this season.

I just realized something: This show has been bad longer than it was good.
Is this the season finale? I haven't seen the last few, but might watch this after Parks & Rec if it's the finale.
The timing is right. Casino Night was six years ago tomorrow. (Let that sink in a minute.) And this is episode 24. At last our long national nightmare is over.
Yeah, one brief glimpse of hope from last week and then straight back to terrible. Their break from reality seems complete.
This season was a complete and utter disaster. The only mildly redeeming feature was the stretch in Florida and that was merely tolerable as opposed to the unadulterated shit the rest was. Jim and Pam were ignored again for about the third season in a row and Hamnard occupied far too much time. Why Spader was brought aboard will be a mystery for the ages.
It's really strange to think that that this was the seaso finale, which dawned on me about halfway through this . . . thing. I always liked David Wallace so maybe he'll have a bigger part next year, since Mindy Kaling is doing her own sitcom and, I guess, Dwight's off to the beet farm?

Yes, very disappointing.

Dwight is also dragging Paul Lieberstein along with him so maybe the new showrunner will take a long look at this season to see what doesn't work.

The part about the paper company in Scranton didn't really work.
The moment with Darryl and Val at the photo shoot reminds me why I loved this show in the old days. Other than that...but I'll still watch the next season, I guess.

Its urban vibe? From the ghetto?
That moment would have worked better for me if they had done anything with that story in the last 8 episodes.
File this under "I'll believe it when I see it":
I hear the expectation is that the deal for The Office will close in time for NBC’s announcement. I also hear the order may be for 13 episodes.
