Hi guys!

With several movies in the works ...

  • Blades of Glory (Jenna Fischer)
  • Evan Almighty (Steve Carell)
  • For Your Consideration (John Krasinski)

I thought it would be cool to post any updates, news, or quotes from these or any other Office-related films.

Mar 22nd 2006

I'm not sure if this was posted before, but I got this tidbit from Joblo.com:

Anna Faris, unfortunate star of the SCARY MOVIE franchise, will star in the upcoming stoner comedy SMILEY FACE along with "Office" star John Krasinski, John Cho (HAROLD AND KUMAR) and Jane Lynch (Steve Carell's horny boss from THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN). The film will star Faris as a young actress/stoner who, after accidentally eating a batch of hash brownies, attempts to go about her normal daily business high as a kite.

I hope we get to see Jim as a stoner. That would be different.

For all the Steve Carell fans out there, check out the trailer to Little Miss Sunshine. Steve with a beard is pretty awesome.

This looks soooo good.

Anybody else catch Krasinski narrating an Ask.com commercial after tonight's rerun? The monkey one.

(I decided this observation fits better here than anywhere else because it's an Office actor's work in another setting)

Mar 24th 2006

I did catch that! It took a couple times before I caught it, but I love that commercial. He should seriously think about doing books on tape. Because I would listen to those books.

Oh my gosh Nathan I thought that sounded like him-I guess I was right!!

Here is neat interview with James Gunn (Jenna's husband) about his new horror film SLiTHER. Jenna has a small role in the film.

A lot of that creativity probably goes back to Gunn's tenure at Lloyd Kaufman's Troma Studios, famous for such B-movie classics as The Toxic Avenger and Gunn's first screenplay Tromeo and Juliet. Years later, he's in Hollywood and considered one of the town's hottest writer, and if that weren't enough, the lucky bastard is married to Jenna Fischer, who may as well be America's sweetheart from playing the receptionist Pam on the NBC show The Office.

John Krasinski has been cast in another movie, nice to see him getting props in Hollywood.

From Joblo.com: Ready for another wacky wedding romantic comedy guys? Sure you are. And what luck! Warner Bros. is planning LICENSE TO WED and set Mandy Moore, Robin Williams and John Krasinski ("The Office") to star. The plot will follow an engaged couple (Moore and Krasinski) whose nuptials are hijacked by an overzealous priest who informs them they must complete an intense two-week pre-cana session. (For those non-Catholics, pre-cana usually lasts about an hour, hence the wacky humor.)

"License to Wed" is going to be a test of whether of not my affection for John Krasinski can overcome my loathing for Mandy Moore... It's a close match.

Mar 31st 2006

I find Robin Williams incredibly annoying and not particularly funny... ever. The plotline sounds painful, though not quite as bad as Smiley Face. I'm not intrigued by this film.

Mar 31st 2006

LICENSE TO WED doesn't sound like a good movie... but money + being near mandy moore = win win for john krasinski.

David Koechner was pretty much the only good thing about Thank You For Smoking. Also, Melora Hardin has a 20-second cameo, but I'm not saying who or where.

That's disappointing to hear. I was kind of interested in seeing that one.

It wasn't terrible, it just didn't do anything for me. There's every chance you might like it; a lot of my friends did. Maybe I was in the wrong frame of mind.

Couldn't agree more Plain White Jim, especially about Robin Williams. I can't understand why he's such a superstar.

I like romantic comedies, but this one does seem like it might be a bit lame... 90 mins of Robin williams doing stupid faces and voices is not my idea of a good movie.

"License to Wed" is going to be a test of whether of not my affection for John Krasinski can overcome my loathing for Mandy Moore... It's a close match.

She was good in her guest spots on "Scrubs." Plus, "A Walk to Remember" is one of my (very) guilty pleasure movies (although I will deny it if ever asked in person). So I have hope.

If they can make pre-cana classes comical...well, God bless 'em (only a small pun intended). We had to endure an entire pre-cana weekend and it was about as enjoyable as you'd imagine. I invented to many new ways to keep myself awake that weekend (foot swinging, doodling, unnecessary drinks of water...). I'm not saying it's not a good thing to attend one of these, but the powers that be could certainly afford to make it less of a trial. Maybe this movie will be good for the pre-marital counseling industry.

Apr 12th 2006

I don't know if anyone has seen Saved!, but it is the movie that won me over as far as Mandy Moore goes. I highly recommend it. It's a satire about kids at a Christian high school.

Apr 12th 2006

Any one that has managed to land Zach Braff as a boyfriend and actually APPRECIATE him after having also dated Andy Roddick is ok in my book. :)

Apr 15th 2006

This is completely weak... according to imdb, Blades of Glory won't be released till March 30, 2007. I can NOT wait that long!

I found this news at tvguide.com -

Seann William Scott and John C. Reilly are in talks to play rival grocery-store managers in Quebec. Lili Taylor and the fab Jenna Fischer would play their respective wives.

May 11th 2006

John talks about some of his upcoming projects at tvguide.com this week. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to Brief Interviews with Hideous Men -- an adaptation of one of my favorite books, written and directed by one of my favorite actors? It's like Machiavelli meets... Christmas.

Kinda late, but Melora Hardin (Jan) had a prominent role in the "Gilmore Girls" season finale Tuesday night. She looked funny, as if she had a nose job done or something.

May 15th 2006

Awww, Steve Carell hurt himself.

From the Associated Press:

I just got around to reading the sunday paper this morning. I got to the movie reviews and saw a brief review of Slither. It didn't say much but I just thought I'd mention it got one more point than The DaVinci Code. Now it didn't specify, but I'm sure the extra point came from our Jenna's appearance as a zombie receptionist :-P

I'm really excited about John Krasinski's role (probably a small one) in For Your Consideration, the new Christopher guest movie. It was mentioned above, but I'm such a Christopher Guest fan, I had to bring it up again! It's not a mockumentary like Waiting For Guffman or Best in Show, but has a huge cast. For those BBC The Office fans, Ricky Gervais has a role in it, too.

The trailer for the new Rainn Wilson movie (oh yeah, Luke Wilson and Uma Thurman are in it too) is now up and Rainn is all over it! Enjoy!

Trailer for My Super Ex-Girlfriend

May 26th 2006

Me=Lion. You=Dead, Thanks for the link to the "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" trailer. I wasn't sure what to expect from the title, but now I 'get it.' Kudos for finding it!

May 26th 2006

Yeah, thanks for that. Best line: Rainn saying, "I got your back." :)

May 28th 2006

No problem guys! I knew he was going to be in the movie, but I was really happy to see that he had a big part in the trailer.
