Tsunami Funraiser.

A lot of people were really affected by the footage.

Also, I was wondering about the question too--I think it would be Pam asking Jim if he talked to Michael about the Longest Engagement Dundie, don't you think?

Maybe it was going to be, "Do you think Roy's an ass? Do other people think he's an ass, too? Does he seem like more of an ass to me right now because I'm tipsy, or is he really that much of an ass all of the time? Will you beat him up for me? Do you want me to tell you where he lives?"

A lot of people were really affected by the footage.

That's the best line.

Jul 24th 2008

The first of two times Jim says cocky. What? I notice these things.

Because of the trivia game, I notice those things too.

Sadly, I noticed it before the trivia game. I just found it hot.

Jul 24th 2008

LT, that's what I assumed she was thinking. I think she was going to say, "You're a really nice guy," while thinking that Roy is not.

Jul 24th 2008

Jim's noble act saving Pam's night by talking to Michael about the "Longest Engagement Award" and she never knew.

I think she did know. In the scene where she is watching the tape of the award you see Jim have exactly the same reaction to it as she had while Roy is celebrating. She might have put two and two together. I think that's why she says "thanks" instead of asking the question which was probably along the lines of LT's "Is Roy an ass?"

Maybe. I just thought she was thanking Jim for being Jim (and hanging with her and being Jim) and that he wasn't Roy because he was so Jim.

Watching the episode and reading everyone's comments reminds me why I love this episode so much. I think I'm going to have the same reaction in all of the S2 rewatches we do.

Jul 24th 2008

So how does Michael not get brought up on charges for giving Angela the "Tight Ass" award?

Jul 24th 2008

I always hoped the question had something to do with the kiss as well, or something along the lines of, "if Roy and I weren't together......" The look Pam gives to the camera makes me feel like such an intruder in that moment. Jenna is so amazing there.

Jul 24th 2008

Jenna is so amazing always.

Fixed it for ya.

Jul 24th 2008

It was a good fix, thank you.

Jul 24th 2008

Oh! I forgot to mention, this episode is responsible for one of my all time favorite Dwight lines.

"The Shrutes produce very thirsty babies."

I think I need a t shirt that says that...

Jul 24th 2008

I thought that was from Hot Girl?

Jul 24th 2008

Eff! You're right. I watched that earlier too, and yeah, it all starts with Katie and her boobs. Eek.

Jul 24th 2008

You mean Katie and her creamy, white breasts. Or is it milky white breasts? I forget.

Jul 24th 2008

The purse girl hits everything on my checklist. Creamy skin. Straight teeth. Curly hair. Amazing breasts. Not for me, for my children. The Schrutes produce very thirsty babies.

From OfficeQuotes.net Did he call them creamy somewhere? It seems like something he'd say....

Jul 24th 2008

I believe creamy refers to her skin. Her breasts are amazing.

Jul 24th 2008

Gah! I meant did he say it somewhere else. Someone needs to just go to bed.

Jul 24th 2008

The Dundies is still my favorite episode ever. I've said this before, but it takes you on such a ride and has a great arc...from the crappy Dundies where everyone is having a bad time, to the humiliation of Michael, and then you see Pam just single-handedly turn it around until everyone is having a good time , to a magical kiss with Jim. At the end of the night, when Tiny Dancer is playing, the night seems ripe with possibilities. We've all had nights like that, and I'm sure Jim went to bed that night thinking about how the future held all kinds of great things for him.

Jul 24th 2008

That sums it up perfectly Jinx.

Jul 24th 2008

Her breasts are amazing.

I don't think Dwight said this, MB.

That's why I loved it. I couldn't have said it better... so I'm glad you did.

Jul 24th 2008

Yes, this is one of my very favorite episodes. I love the looks Jim gives Pam as he is watching her drink way too much. And then the head-bob and stool fall at the bar...priceless.

But to me the nicest moment is at the end of the episode when Jim is watching Pam leave in Angela's car. If you don't love Jim/John after that episode, something isn't wired right!

That wasn't a Dwight quote. That was an MB quote!

Jul 24th 2008

I think I was a goner after the look he gave Pam on DD and after the "Mmm, not a bad day."

Jul 24th 2008

I think I was a goner after the look I gave Pam's DDs.

Fixed it for me.

Yeah, I got that!

I fell for Jim and Pam during DD but I fell for Jim in TD.

Yes, I was intrigued by Jim and Pam until then, but became completely smitten by the look on Jim's face when Pam fell asleep on his shoulder. There's no coming back from that. I finally had to face it.

That's how I feel about Ping after his appearance.
