I'm reading the OT Mindy Kaling chat transcript and someone has the moniker "chilisbannedme". Mindy praises the name and then says:

I keep wanting to call that joke back. Like Jim says to Pam "Feel like Chilis tonight?" and Pam nods sadly and says "Can't. Banned for life."

To which I say YES! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT NOW! That would be the best callback in the history of callbacks.

She also says she hopes to do the Dundies again. At one point I would have agreed, but now I don't think they should because there's no way it would live up to the original. Maybe during the last season if they know it's the last season. Might even be a good setting for the show's finale.

Might even be a good setting for the show's finale.

They could have the fade out just after they give Jim and Pam the "Longest Engagement" award.

Feb 26th 2009

I remember a very long time ago, BJ Novak wrote one of those TV Guide blogs, and said a lot of gags had to be rewritten because Chili's was being a little bitch...

So I was thinking, if this episode was this good with the rewritten jokes, I wonder how good the orginal script was?

Another note:

Mindy should rewatch this next time she writes a new episode...her episodes just haven't been that great lately.

DC is Evil personified.

Most people think it's KarenM, but it's actually DC.

Feb 26th 2009

DC is Evil personified.

That seems harsh. I could have made it:

They could have the fade out just after they give Jim and Karen the "Longest Engagement" award.

Feb 26th 2009

You just broke my brain.

Feb 26th 2009

They could have the fade out just after they give Jim and Pam the "Longest Engagement" award.

In DC's defense, I think this is an awesome idea.

Feb 26th 2009

Freaks.

Feb 26th 2009

Maybe, but I'd be infinitely more satisfied with that ending than a big tv wedding thing. (Not that they would probably go that route).

Feb 26th 2009

I don't want a big tv wedding thing either. I want to know about it, but I want it somewhat underplayed, if that makes any sense.

Feb 26th 2009

That makes perfect sense, VG.

Has anyone seen LolliLove? There are a few short clips from actual home video of Jenna's wedding. That kind of thing would be good.

Feb 26th 2009

Has anyone seen LolliLove?

Is that a serious question?

Feb 26th 2009

I actually have not seen Lollilove. Commence the shun.

Feb 26th 2009

I'll lend you my DVD.

Feb 26th 2009

Can I get it after BTF?

Feb 26th 2009

I will not lend you mine. Because I don't trust you.

Feb 26th 2009

Can I get it after BTF?

Sure. I'll start the NA DVD box.

Feb 26th 2009

I will not lend you mine. Because I don't trust you.

People are harshing my mellow on this thread. I've been called evil, a freak and now untrustworthy.

Feb 26th 2009

I will not lend you mine. Because I don't trust you.

Pros to lending DC your Lollilove DVD: He's classy, he gets you and you trust him.

Cons to lending him your Lollilove dvd: You don't really trust him.

Feb 26th 2009

God I hope I'm not wearing a sumo suit and floating in a lake someplace.

Feb 26th 2009

No, but you have been cuckolded by a smarter, more dominant male.

Feb 26th 2009

Hmmm, that makes a lot of sense.

Feb 26th 2009

Might even be a good setting for the show's finale.

They could have the fade out just after they give Jim and Pam the "Longest Engagement" award.

That is perfect. I think we should storm the set and take over the writing room.

Feb 26th 2009

Sure. I'll start the NA DVD box.

Not a bad idea, especially for those with access to decryption software.

For no real reason I just rewatched this. It was like when you pull out that video of your favorite team clinching a championship. They did everything right.

Funny, I found myself looking at Stacey and thinking, "bitch."

Mar 27th 2009

I watched this earlier this week. We need more Ping on the show.

Mar 28th 2009

I just rewatched all of S2 last week. The whole season was perfect. One change that's obvious is that Dwight is not as much of a nerd anymore. He's much more self-assured and darker. Another one is that Kevin sounded more like Brian B.

Funny, I found myself looking at Stacey and thinking, "bitch."

Nice. He doesn't deserve her.

Mar 28th 2009

Funny, I found myself looking at Stacey and thinking, "bitch."

She didn't even appreciate that he got an award.

I like the look Teri gives Stanley after Pam kisses Jim.

Mar 28th 2009

I just rewatched all of S2 last week.

I'm one disk in on my rewatch of S2. One thing I noticed after watching Halloween is Jim's TH at the end where he says "I would take that job in Maryland because it's twice the pay and soft shell crab is my favorite food." So I guess a career in paper sales wasn't out of the question for him even back then.

Mar 28th 2009

That's a good point, DC. At the time, I thought he was saying that he would be willing to work anywhere; it's more money...if he didn't have The Reason to stay in Scranton.
