Hey guys, your old pal Beej again, just here to note that it's spelled "charade", and that it's not what I'm perpetrating, not even a little bit.

Jun 23rd 2009

Wow, I just got corrected by B.J. Novak.

AWESOME!

Jun 23rd 2009

Beej is kind of a bitch.

Jun 23rd 2009

"Dave Barry?" What a great line.

Jun 23rd 2009

that it's not what I'm perpetrating, not even a little bit.

Sure thing Lieberstein.

Jun 24th 2009

Beej, to authenticate yourself, tell us something secret that only you would know, like who farts the most on set? Who looks at porn the most? Is it Creed on both counts?

Jun 24th 2009

like who farts the most on set?

I think that's Jenna.

Jun 24th 2009

Nah you'd notice if she did - Pam usually has a skirt and nylons on - I don't notice her legs being swollen very often.

How can you tell if a woman is wearing nylons? When she farts her ankle swell!

OK, rewatch time again tomorrow night. It's too late to Christmas shop and too early to celebrate, so you've got no excuses not to give another gander to one of the best episodes the show has ever aired. Relive the whitest sneakers, the second drinks, the bushiest beaver and Ping. If none of these things rings a bell, then get the hell out of here. Or click the links below and refresh your memory.

I listened to the TWSS podcast for this episode today. Very thorough. The main guy's voice reminded me of Bri's for some reason.

If none of these things rings a bell, then get the hell out of here.

Haha. But, he's right.

From Wikipedia article:

Since Jenna Fischer does not drink much in real life, B. J. Novak took her out so she could get drunk while Novak described to her how she was behaving and how it did not match her own perception. She drew upon this experience for her performance.

ACTING!

Best! Dundies! EVERRRRRR!!!!!

Dec 24th 2009

"Hey, can I ask you a question?"

Dec 24th 2009

We'll never know what she might have said, will we?

Dec 24th 2009

I think she was going to say:

"Do you think we can keep this up for two full years?"

Dec 24th 2009

And he said, "That's what she said."

Dec 24th 2009

"I just wanted to say...that you should plow me."

Wow. There weren't a lot of comments on the rewatch. I just rewatched it today at work while pumping (tmi?) and realized something that I had never thought of or questioned before. I wonder which of the DMers was holding the camera back in the old Dundies from the videos that Pam has to watch. The documentary crew wasn't there. Dwight was probably DJing again. Whoever it was must have known about Jim and Pam's crushes on each other. I say that because in the video when Pam wins the Longest Engagement Dundie, after the camera gets a reaction shot of Pam, it then gets a reaction shot of Jim and then lingers on Jim and Pam. I wonder who was doing the filming.

Hmm, it was probably Tom who got so depressed by the Jim and Pam sitch that he killed himself.

Jan 18th 2010

He's lucky that he didn't have to watch past Casino Night.

That guy was weird...

Yo, I was wrapping. /excuse

It had to be on a tripod if Kevin could have sat in front of it for an entire ceremony. Unless Tom was already dead.

Jan 19th 2010

Oh look, I'm just in time for Ping!

Jan 19th 2010

That Asian girl looks so hurt and angry. Makes me laugh every time.

Jan 19th 2010

They need more of outsiders mocking Michael and then the office all comes to his defense.

Jan 19th 2010

I finally got to watch this again last night. Such good stuff. I found what I enjoyed most after all this time was not so much what was happening, but the reaction shots throughout the entire episode.
I'd forgotten that Pam actually pulled away from Roy in the parking lot, which I found really gratifying for some reason.

Also, Pam drunk was awesome, but Jim's reaction to drunk Pam was even better. He'd looked liked a kid who'd been given a Christmas gift that he'd dreamed of but never expected to get, and then wasn't sure what to do with it.
I loved Kev's disapproval when Pam kissed Jim. And Michael being an equal opportunity sexual harassing boss. Oh my.

"No you don't."

I actually prefer the show without a cold open. Do you suppose they'll ever have another Dundie's episode?

This was posted over on the Jim and Pam page on nbc.com:

must have missed that.

I saw that photo too lem and wondered if it was from a deleted scene we never saw. So this was on TBS tonight and I noticed an odd continuity break. Pam leaves with Roy and Darryl and Ryan turns to Jim and says something like "Are you going to stay?" and Jim says "Yeah, gotta eat somewhere." and looks at the menu. They cut to Pam and Roy arguing in the parking lot and then return to Chili's as Pam sits down where Jim is already eating his dinner. My service at Chili's has never been that fast.
