I've just been so curious as to what other TV shows hardcore Office fans enjoy. For me, it's The Colbert Report, Arrested Development, Stella, Invader Zim, The Daily Show, My Hero, and Stargate SG-1. Of course, The Office is the my favorite. And I also seem to like a lot of things that get cancelled.

Mar 26th 2006

I love The Colbert Report and The Daily Show satire at it's finness. Steve Carell was great on the daily show in recurring sketches like"Even Stephven" and "Produce Pete with Steve Carell."

Mar 26th 2006

Wee, TV! I like Nip/Tuck and Rescue Me, but I'm not hardcore about them. I used to watch Veronica Mars but now I think it's a steaming pile. Same with Lost. The Office is really the only show I'm woOOOoooo about and it's very weird to me because I've never been gone on a sitcom before. Just something about it, I guess.

Mar 26th 2006

Daily show, Sopranos, Family Guy, King of the Hill, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Lost (although I am waiting for the second season to end before I watch it. I hate being strung along from week to week)

There are several TV shows that I enjoy when they happen to be on, but the only other show I really get up for is 24. It's a nice end-of-weekend consolation prize.

Mar 26th 2006 edited

Simpsons(seasons 3-8), Seinfeld, Curb your enthusiasm, Mr. Show, South Park, King of the Hill

Mar 27th 2006 edited
  • 24 (Jack Bauer vs. Robocop, what more can I say)
  • House (I just love the theme song from Massive Attack that they use)
  • Law and Order: SVU and CI
  • Family Guy
  • The Simpsons
  • Upright Citizens Brigade
  • Ali G
  • The Daily Show
Mar 27th 2006

Like Dwight, I'm a big fan of Battleship Galaxy - or, wait, Battlestar Galactica. Whatever stupid show I want to watch, I'm watching it. Except yeah, I do watch it, and it's awesome. RIP Billy. and also the Simpsons (who had Ricky Gervais on last night).

In no particular order......
Grey's Anatomy
Desperate Housewives
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (the last 10 minutes is the best when you get to see the house all done)
ER
South Park
Reno 911!
Will & Grace
The Biggest Looser
General Hospital

Great topic!

My shows in no particular order, except for The Office as #1, of course ;-)

The Office, King of Queens, Reno 911, The Soup, South Park, Will & Grace, Daily Show, My Name is Earl, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested D, As the World Turns, Showbiz Show with David Spade, Jim Rome is Burning, Fastlane (cheesiest show ever but I love it), Boston Legal, Everybody Hates Chris.

Wow-guess that is a LOT of tv watching...I'll add a disclaimer and say that I do Tivo most of this stuff and watch when I can. I tend to like shows that get cancelled too. I remember really liking Kitchen Confidential but it got the shaft. The only "reality" show I watch is Big Brother, whenever it's on.

Mar 27th 2006

I rarely make time for anything other than "The Office" now that AD is no more (thanks again, Fox!). But I try and keep up every now and then with the original "Law and Order" (more a fan of the Jerry Orbach-Ben Bratt era, but Jesse L. Martin, Epatha, and Sam Waterston can carry the show nonetheless), "The Simpsons", "Aqua Teen Hunger Force", and (my guilty pleasure) "Dog The Bounty Hunter" (but please don't repeat that last one to anybody)

I also like the occasional "Futurama" or "Family Guy" rerun on Adult Swim

Mar 27th 2006

I'm all about "The Office" and that's it. I do enjoy Scrubs as well, but I'm not a loyal viewer. Those are the only TV shows I watch unless you count Sportscenter.

Mar 27th 2006 edited

I forgot a few:

  • Mythbusters
  • The Newlywed Game reruns on GSN
  • Dirty Jobs
  • Entourage

I watch:

~ Scrubs ~ My Name is Earl ~ CSI (Vegas and NY) ~ Criminal Minds ~ Two and a Half Men (I didn't ever think I'd like this show, but I caught it by accident a couple of months ago and it's so funny!) ~ InJustice (preachy but good, and it's developing nicely) ~ Lost (loved it last season, still holding out hope that they'll throw us a bone this season and get things moving) ~ Law & Order SVU

Also, the now-defunct: ~ Wonderfalls (FOX - go figure) ~ Ed (NBC)

Guilty Pleasure: ~ The Amazing Race (it seems more like a game show than a reality show to me, so I'm OK with it)

Mar 27th 2006

Other shows I love are: CSI (the Vegas version) Law & Order ( Criminal Intent & Special victims Unit) The Boondocks Family Guy The Golden Girls The Honeymooners (the classic 39) The Daily Show The Colbert Report (Love his "The Word" routine)

Mar 27th 2006

I watch way too much TV, but normally I'm at least doing something else at the same time... but anyways:

Prison Break, 24 (best drama on TV), How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs (second best comedy on TV after The Office), Lost (for such a brilliant first season, this season is lame... but as someone mentioned, I keep going back to it, because you never know... SOMETHING MIGHT HAPPEN! doubt it, but hey... we're all a bit naïve inside), My Name Is Earl, Monk, and Family Guy.

Mar 27th 2006

Whoo! Patrick I'm so glad you like Prison Break too. My roommate and I are addicted. My other favorite shows are Arrested Development (blast it Fox!), Scrubs, Project Runway, My Name is Earl, The OC (though it's been really crap lately), and The Daily Show and Colbert Report when I used to have cable.

I don't watch much TV but here is a list of what I occasionally tune into:

  • House (the doctor is a madman)
  • Philadelphia Eagles Football
  • NCAA March Madness
  • Family Guy
  • Food Network... Giada De Laurentiis is so cute, she melts me.
  • Seinfeld ReRuns

After The Office, in something resembling an order of my favorites, the shows I watch regularly are:

  • Sons & Daughters (seriously people... this is a great show)
  • My Name Is Earl
  • Family Guy
  • The King of Queens
  • King of the Hill
  • The Simpsons
  • Lost (it's become so mediocre compared to the first season, yet I can't look away)

I also love Da Ali G Show and Curb Your Enthusiasm (save for most of this past season), but those HBO series are on so infrequently that I can't include them in my "watch regularly" list.

But I love watching baseball and am stoked about the season starting next week. Unfortunately the Major League Soccer season starts Sunday, the same night as the Indians and White Sox open the 2006 baseball season, and given that I work for the new team here in Houston, it's going to be kind of hard for me to catch the baseball game. It'll be the first time since 1993 that I haven't watched every pitch of the season's opening game -- including 2000 and 2004 when I woke up at 4 AM to watch the season open in Japan.

Mar 27th 2006

Sorry for the double post, but I had to break this up and it's on a bit of a tangent. The NBC show that starts tomorrow, Teachers, has looked pretty dreadful in previews. However, given Robert Bianco's amazingly unfavorable review, I'm actually tempted to watch it! If he hates on The Office, and he hates on Teachers, maybe Teachers is going to be awesome!

Fortunately, it's up against Sons & Daughters, so I won't need to subject myself to watching it.

Mar 28th 2006

Megan, yeah, Prison Break is great... really great show to be before 24 too! Looking forward to next week when we learn how each ended up in prison.

Plain White Jim, I think I'm going to watch Teachers tonite, mainly because it's right after Scrubs.

Mar 28th 2006

Starting with Sunday night...Sopranos, Entourage, Curb, Ali G, Monk, Prison Break, 24, The Shield (best drama on TV), Lost, Earl, The Office. Plus The Daily show and a bunch of Seinfeld reruns. My DVR gets a workout.

Mar 28th 2006

The Office, Freaks and Geeks (Paul Feig's books are THE most hilarious things you will ever read), Moonlighting reruns, AD (thanks a lot FOX), and pretty much anything on Comedy Central.

Mar 28th 2006

I love television! I just don't have enough time to watch them all (e.g. Lost, which I'll try to start in summer). Other than The Office, my other absolute CANNOT MISS is 24. Though I rarely miss these shows either, Prison Break, Scrubs, and My Name Is Earl. There aren't a lot of great comedy and drama out there these days, I say The Office and 24 have a crossover!

Mar 28th 2006

Hey all you Prison Break fans...it's kind of a rip off of Shawshank Redemption right? But much more dramatic, obviously; it's on Fox. So what happens when they actually escape? Does it become a ripoff of The Fugitive? Not that I'm complaining, I think it's a great show. And wow, that vice president lady is such a witch!

Mar 28th 2006

I forgot to mention something else that makes Sons & Daughters great for JAM fans. One of the supporting characters is named Jenna Halbert.

Mar 29th 2006

Other than The Office, my other absolute CANNOT MISS is 24.

I'm with you there, sandy. And I like how the everyday week breaks down with those two as TV high points--the Monday weekend-end consolation prize and the Thursday almost-there carrot.

I'm just trying to figure out how I'm to manage my one non-TiVo dorm TV this Monday, with the NCAA basketball championship and a post-cliffhanger 24 coinciding...

Mar 29th 2006

I'm not much of a TV watcher, but I do have shows that I try to watch regularly, and they are:

  • The Colbert Report
  • Prison Break
  • Veronica Mars (even though it's nowhere as good as the first season or the beginning of season two)
  • South Park
  • My Name is Earl

I also used to watch Lost, but I got tired of all the flashbacks pretty quickly.

Apr 1st 2006 edited

I'm sort of a TV snob. I always try to convince people to watch what I'm watching...

Of shows still on air:

  • The Office (obv)
  • Entourage (just finished watching season 2 again)
  • South Park
  • Family Guy
  • The OC (but it's gone downhill since season 1)

Shows retired/cancelled (first three, by FOX):

  • Undeclared (easily my favorite)
  • Kitchen Confidential
  • Arrested Development
  • Stella
  • Dawson's Creek

I'm sure I missed a few. I like Monk, and House, and the L&O series, I just don't follow them like I do/did with the above.

Apr 1st 2006

Anyone else watch The Soup on E!? I have a small crush on the snarky and sarcastic host Joel McHale and his adorable chihuahua, Lou. I don't think there are many celebrities safe from his wrath. Although I do think the entire cast of The Office is safe because Joel has good taste and really liked Arrested Development before it was allegedly cancelled.
